The videos certainly draw you in.
I was fascinated with these cake decorating videos for a time.
The combination of food and technique had me transfixed.

Yeah, I don't even like cake, so go figure.

I don't think I've ever had reflux.
It must be quite uncomfortable.
And a lot of the conventional cures seem worse healthwise in the long run than the condition itself.

Yeah, had it since my early teens... Stress apparently... Go figure.. lol... yes, it is rather annoying and uncomfortable.... Milk helps temporary better than water... Seems more related to wheat products and some other foods. I try not to take anything that was prescribed, as you mention, there can be later effects from taking those things over a period of time. I just ride it out. Sometimes use home made remedies that do help....

I prescribe dedicated meditation.

I've been listening to hypnosis for healing.
I'm feeling good.
Is it all mind over matter?
You hear all these accounts about spontaneous healing.
People given a death sentence - days to live sometimes - and then the disease miraculously disappears.
I think it's all in my head.
Everything.

What are your thoughts on this?

Yes. i do meditate daily. But just short bursts. I haven't done any sit down deep meditation for a while..
The power of positivity can be beyond our understanding... As one knows, when one is down and depressed our immune systems also suffer... So trying to stay as positive and as happy as you can can have amazing effects on ones body especially with illness.... I am still working on it ;)

This may be me clutching at straws.
I also know how strong my will can be when I fixate on something,
This may be one of those instances when autism is a definite advantage.

Good almost lunchtime, everyone!

I had another interesting dream, a happy dream.

It switched from first person to third person slightly throughout the first part, and then settled into first.

There was this long, blonde haired girl who was a dear friend. "I" was this silver haired boy, and together we looked suspiciously like Misuzu and Yukito from the AIR anime.
Image
I was at a school, and there were these tough looking boys grouped around a window. I ran to the window, saw the girl waving at me from the grass below, and actually jumped out of the window to avoid the other boys. I landed relatively safely, though my ankle hurt. Just looking at the girl, smiling at me, with the sun shining and turning her hair golden so that it almost seemed halo-like, I felt great love for her.
Then we were on an airplane with the girl's mother [whom I couldn't see, for some reason], and someone who was presumably her grandfather, who also had silverish hair. [Hmm...silver and gold.] I felt happy being with her then, too.

first course of chemo was moderately effective. second course starts today. I am optimistic. we have been here since my 15 and will be here the month of june. we listen to classical music on public radio, do crossword puzzles, and get in the prescribed walking. 12 times around the ward is a mile. there is a fellow who comes just to chat named George. we really like George. he is a kindred spirit.

If one person references a conversation and says you were there for it, but you don't think you were, that might be their mistake.

If it happens again, different person, different conversation, well that's kind of weird.

If it happens for a third time in the space of a week. I think we've got a problem here.

Where the hell's my mind at the moment??
My memory is usually exceptional.
I never zone out this badly.
Damn.
