Icy Blue flavour. 8)

It's a Fiat Bravo from 2000, and when I get round to driving it (which I'm now insured to do) I'll be transported back to the turning of the millenium! It's my time machine!

I've just got to be careful it doesn't have the Millenium Bug hidden away inside it.

Hmmmm.... I think I know what I'll call it - The Millenium Bug.

Cah. It's going to be a while before I like mine again - sometime over last night it decided to leak so I got up this morning (early, fortunately) to find a fairly major flood, and then spent most of the day mopping up.

One of the flexible plastic hose pipes connecting it to the water supply developed a small hole, but I have no idea how it happened: they've not been touched or moved for over ten years but there it was - a little jet of water squirting out from the pipe about 1' along its length.
I mean, I could understand it if the connecting seal had failed at one end - but developing a leak, part-way down a straight length of hose, touching nothing? :?
Bastard...

Replacement pipes obtained and fitted, much shoving and heaving to get it all back in place again.
I am knackered.
I also have soggy carpets.

If there was one thing I wish I could do, it would be to study for a test, go back in time, and ace that test, thus violating causality and making my life 9001x better. :D

I forgot just how much I like this piece.

Here is Julian Lloyd Webber doing some of his brudah's 'variations'.

(Ignore the dancers....)

Or more accurately, after Paganini (Caprice No. 24) :nerdy:

I like this guy's weird jittery technique, and the fact that he almost shreds that violin. Good stuff, and almost getting to be a bit avant garde, yet still keeping a decent rythm and tune.

And to think, I just used to think of that piece of music as "Da Feme-Tune from da Souf Bank Show".

Ooh, got me feeling all violinish now...
Here's some gleaming gold from Bach, a burst of pure sunshine.

(Isaac Stern & Itzhak Perlman, Zubin Mehta with NY Phil. One of the best performances ever.)
