Trying to find answers to things but cant find the answers when you dont know the questions to ask.... Just loosing a sense of self a little at the moment...

Yeah, i think i understand, even when i do manage to get to sleep, it rarely is a proper sleep.. I constantly keep waking up... I have slept through a fire alarm before but if someone drops a pin i wake up! go figure!

It was ideal when I lived in my car... I had someone try to open my door and that sound of him pulling the door handle on a locked door was enough for me to open my eyes. I watched the guy try to wiggle his hand through the cracked window. I had a weapon with a mounted light, I pointed it at him and flashed the light. I never saw someone run so fast in my life.

I called the cops and they did a search for the guy, doubt they ever found him. But after that, the cops always patrolled that road when I slept there. I always thought that was cool and was very appreciated.

Ha, personal state funded security services..

Last time I slept in the car, the police moved on the guy in the car beside us but they didn't say a word to my partner or myself.
It was a bit weird hearing them grilling this guy (who was Italian, so it got quite vocal) and telling him he couldn't sleep there, yet they drove off without so much as a howdydo to us.

They tried to get me getting me, to go to a shelter. But simply there is no law against me sleeping in my car; on a public street, while legally parked.

I also pointed out in F.S.S. 776.013 that my vehicle, is an extension of my "castle"... Even a tent qualifies in this state. Overall the police encounter was professional once they determined I wasn't a druggy.

Seems you know the law.. hahah, also dont call it a vehicle, under blacks law the term Vehicle is classed under commercial taking you from common law to maritime law jurisdiction, it is your automobile... and if a police officer asked if you understand, say nothing or no, you dont understand as the term understand in blacks law means do you stand beneath me, so if you say yes you are giving jurisdiction to the police that will effectively wave your common law rights. But if you wish to keep them happy and do whatever they tell you, then just nod and agree politely! ha

Welcome to the black hole, of over thinking, self analyzing, misinterpreting, low self esteem, miss-communicating etc etc... You likely do know what you are talking about but trying to express those thoughts can be another matter?...
I cant talk, has crossed my mind a few times...but then, where else do i go? Only place anyone understands anything remotely, is here, despite context translation being somewhat flawed at times for all parties...

Sit down, put your feet up and i will put on the billy.

edit: Not entirely correct, i am sure there are other places/people etc.... See , even i dont know what i am talking about half the time!

I always know what I'm talking about......even if I don't.

Knowing what you're talking about is not a prerequisite for one to become a leader. You just have to give off the impression that you do know what you're talking about (or maybe not!)

Rhetoric is the art of conveying the fact of your competence when, in fact, that competence could be a complete fiction.

Some of the greatest philosophers were not exactly "Sages of the Mount."

It is more the context for me. Like having to translate a language you are familiar with but not proficient, from brain to mouth. Especially someone who is visually orientated, trying to put hundreds of images in a single sentence or paragraph can be tiring and unless the other person has a similar picture i mind can often lead to misunderstandings... So ''I'' know what i am talking about but putting it into context for others to understand is a different story.

In order to truly, completely, know what you're talking about, you have to be able to communicate that knowledge to others.

My lack of proficiency in this area prevents me from becoming a teacher.

Photography is a great medium for the visually-oriented.

Yes, even though i do know what i am talking about. ha... But you are very much right, had another aspie mention recently that they thought aspies are ''Excellent'' communicators. Had to disagree somewhat with that comment for a few reasons. What are your thoughts Kraftie, or anyone else? Do aspies/auties make excellent communicators?

Instinctually, no. Communication does not come naturally to us.

We can learn how to be great communicators, though.....by hook or by crook.

Like many others with disorders, we can transcend the disorder at least to some extent, albeit sometimes with great difficulty.

I am lazy by nature. I could have become a great teacher. Instead, I've wallowed in egoistic complacency.

Yes that is what i thought hence my response to this individual. Helps with confirmation. The statement made seemed somewhat egotistical as well, but politely gave my very shortened view as communication difficulties are rather up there on the list when associating with the spectrum, hence my surprise with their response. However maybe they just convinced themselves of that so as they could be a better more confident communicator.. Positive thinking can work for some areas.

Or the person could be over-confident in their communication abilities.

If somebody claims to be a great communicator, I take that claim with a healthy pinch of salt.

Yes.. as often the communications towards me are... well... not that ''excellent''! ha. But dont wish to challenge... If it works for them then i dont want to be the one to shatter that view point.
