biggles, I am well. after six weeks in the hospital, we are going home tomorrow.

Aww, thats really good news. Is your husband a feeling better? and how are you yourself? Must be exhausted!?

he is partially recovered from two rounds of chemo. we'll have a better idea Monday whether he is in remission or not when we get the results of his bone marrow biopsy. I am fine. my husband now gets around with the aid of a walker. he'll be doing less around the house. I will delay my nursing work and education plans. from other patients I hear there will be consolidation chemo for a week out of every month for the next four.

we do love each other. there was a volunteer singing and playing guitar in the hospital this morning. she was playing elvis's "I can't help falling in love with you." I told her it was one of marc's favorite songs. she came in the room and did the whole thing for us. my husband started sobbing. then I started crying because he was crying.

Great news, cathylynn.
There's nothing like being in your own familiar space.

Still a bit pissed about yesterday.
I'll get over it I suppose.

I'm going awol for most of the morning tomorrow.
I have multiple appointments at the hospital/s.

Still have blisters from the last escape.
Would have made sense to wear proper shoes, not the shower sandals.

Yeah, maybe need a little more forward thinking when doing an escape in shower sandals! lol Can just imagine it... Fully focused on mission not the practicality! haha

^ Alleviate anything?

When you get the chance to escape you just have to go with it, no matter the footwear.
They never knew I had money in the side pocket of my cargo pants for about 17 days either.

^ no, wasn't you.

I happened to look in a thread I haven't visited for a long time and found I was the subject of discussion. 8O
Well, I should feel flattered, I suppose.
Only they were telling someone else that my displayed gender (as it is now) was a mix-up.
It wasn't.
It is correct after I don't know how many years of being everything other than what I am.

Confused?
Think how I feel. :(

Ah... Well sounds like whatever they were saying was of somewhat a good nature... Can sometimes be hard here to work such things out just by words alone... Really the true message is the intent of the individuals. If meant in good nature, then... meh... no biggie... Like myself i am male, but dont identify with any sex... fall right in between... Never got sucked into the male social characteristics as i grew up, actually from an observational point of view found it all quit amusing... Which in turn allowed me to create my own identity without influence... So people say i may be of a feminine nature but i dont care... i am fully male and if people want to create false, negative perceptions like that, then sweet, saves me time working out their intent and i can move on...
But can aslo see how it may be frustrating at times... But again... meh... sod em..
I am who i am, either accept, or move on.. Dont have the energy or the time to play such games...
Funny, had a conversation not dissimilar today about whats being happening in my RL this past week or so, thought i was being paranoid.. A chap i have known with a head nod for 17 years sat down and we had a good discussion... seems my worries were justified and i wasn't going fruit loop... Sometimes just hearing things from someone elses lips can put alot of pain into a perspective almost instantly.. Feeling somewhat less of a reject this afternoon... kinda felt good to be listened to and understood for the first time in a long while!
