Leave of absence.

But a voodoo god would probably help too.

I'm waiting for the washer to be done. Then I will either go to bed, vacuum, or look for mushrooms.

Had a call from the Health Board, seems they want to use me for some study of some kind, sending some student down from Auckland uni to see me... Spent about an hour on the phone filling her in about the issues i face daily, seemed she didnt have a clue and seemed genuinely interested and pleased about new light and information i gave her... Lets see if these NT's will listen this time... dunno what its really about but was told this young millennial will get in touch soon... Doesn't sound that interesting, but mentioned i want to help teach people within her organisation a few things about the spectrum they are not aware of...

But I thought you were undiagnosed?
Not saying you're not on the spectrum but do you know what I'm saying?
Don't know how to put it in words.
Like, how do you qualify?
Excuse me if I sound rude there - not intended.

Have to go, anyway.
Really enjoyed chatting today.

yeah, we will see, all other avenues to this point has been a nightmare.... Just from what i said to this lady has in effect changed her approach to people she deals with on the spectrum in a small way, she wants a more in depth talk in about a month as alot of these places ''higher functioning'' auties go to are open rooms with many people with flouro lights and often their approach can be somewhat negative... so just want to fill her in on my experience dealing with things daily and to hopefully do something to change their approach with people on the spectrum as it can be quit caustic to say the least... Am really nervous actually but want to help other people and as i have been given that opportunity i couldn't say no, almost did though... But rather i be used as the guinea pig... Hope i can make a difference even if it is just a little!

Yes, dont have a piece of paper telling me i am, have also mentioned that... Been given 3 separate preliminary diagnosis, but not official, so also hoping this can get me through that door also... I dont need a piece of paper in that respect, i know i am...

( a fourth if you include a meeting with AutismNZ that kinda laughed and said i was rather a ''classic aspie'', whatever that meant!) Was actually never wanting anything, just wanted everything to ''stop'', was pointed out and when i researched there could be no denying it, it was if someone had followed me for a life time and wrote down my traits )

Dunno, maybe this is a bad idea now??! !?!?!?

Someone I love had it pretty tough in the same process lately. I've had mine (Dx) for ages, we gotta stick together. Everyone.

Some years back I contacted the guy who diagnosed me (he works in an autism center) to ask if there existed a group for adults with high functioning autism, as I wanted to meet others with the same problems. He said no it doesn't exist. Then after a while he contacted me and said he wanted to start such a group, and wondered if he could ask me for advice on what to talk about in this group. I said yes, although I must admit I was hesitant. Then some more time passed, and I think it was me who contacted him to hear how the plans was going. He said the plans of starting a group had been canceled and that it would never be created such a group.
