Thanks Cberg, kinda always felt i fell in the middle of the gap so to speak... Funding here is ''very'' scarce to get a full diagnosis so what funding they do have is concentrated on the young... Has been alot in the news of that here of late... Yes i want a full diagnosis, not for a label but for the same reasons as everyone else...
It is a battle and have been sent in circles for two years and this is the first time in a long time that has given me a rare opportunity and despite my reservations i feel i would be an idiot to not at least give it a go!

But yeah, understand Raleighs point, same kinda point i hear from NT's also, so kinda used to that in that respect. Funny how one can know and live that for 40 years but still needs a government piece of paper issued by an NT to have any form of legitimacy.

^I think you can take the fact that they contacted you for advice as a sure sign they feel absolutely certain that you are on the spectrum.

Some years back I contacted the guy who diagnosed me (he works in an autism center) to ask if there existed a group for adults with high functioning autism, as I wanted to meet others with the same problems. He said no it doesn't exist. Then after a while he contacted me and said he wanted to start such a group, and wondered if he could ask me for advice on what to talk about in this group. I said yes, although I must admit I was hesitant. Then some more time passed, and I think it was me who contacted him to hear how the plans was going. He said the plans of starting a group had been canceled and that it would never be created such a group.

Such a shame, then again i could imagine it could be hard for many on the spectrum to be in a group environment for a number of reasons. Was one of the questions i asked the lady, also the meeting with her and another lady was going to be in a large open room with maybe 100 people in their and flouros, so kindly asked if ok to do it in a private setting and gave a heads up i may be wearing sunglasses, not out of rudeness but flouros kinda play with my head somewhat... She seemed very forth coming.. Didnt want to be a pain, just trying to make my experience less sensory overloaded as possible as i will likely verbally shut down or even just walk out ,i really want to be able to talk to these people as it will likely be the only opportunity i get.

If it worries you not knowing what it's about, you can also call them back and ask. No reason to be worried, if you don't have to, is what I mean.

Thanks, no, its all good... will just wait... Just when you are stuck in the middle ground so to speak, there is doubt in ones mind especially when you hear it from elsewhere, not anyone's fault, i am maybe just a little too sensitive and self doubting... Just trying to find a little extra strength for some confidence... It may turn out to be a waste of time but also may not... So despite the self doubt, i think as mentioned i would be silly to give this opportunity up... I realise people may doubt me but only ones self knows oneself better than anyone. I know who i am, i know what i experience and i need to listen to more of that rather than self doubt... I am trying to change things round for a positive nature, i cant keep on doing what i am doing even if it means taking me out of my comfort zone for a short while... Just having someone that will possibly finally ''listen'' can do wanders, a little goes a long way!

This last week has shown me how closed minded and ignorant many people are in respects to the spectrum and i feel i have been given a voice even if it maybe for a short time and wish to use that time as constructively as possible... Even last night had emails sent to me from anti vaxxers, which is very annoying, and as you know have lost a few acquaintances this last week, so i cant stay silent anymore, just need to get my side of my experience across and maybe, just maybe that can change some minds that may help someone else on the spectrum and avoid going through what i have had to go through the past 2 years.. Even if it helps just one person, then i feel all the pain and unpleasantness would be worthwhile....

Thats just my own personal view.

^It's going, all right. We're busy getting ready to move, and I'm working on my stories, as always.

Thanks! First mum and Ian are working on getting Ian's house ready to sell, and we've almost found a new place to live.
