Hello, ImA.

Hello Raleigh. Are you and your boyfriend still considering to come to Sydney?

I had to move from Padstow to Padstow Heights. The owner pulled down my old house and I don't like my new (old) house.

Boo seems to like it. He's still playing 'attack cat' with me. I think he likes this new place.

He sits on the ironing board and looks out the front wire screen. I think he fantasizes about getting out and eating the cockatoos that feed on the grass across the road. I wish I could let him loose on them. They're sooooo noisy in the morning, they wake me up too early.

I don't know.
We haven't discussed it lately.
I was in rehab for close to a month.

I'm sorry to hear that. REALLY! Are you alright now?

I got breathalyzed at work 2 weeks ago and I blew over. They stood me down for the day. I thought I was going to loose my job but I've cleaned up my act since then. It REALLY scared me. I pictured me and Boo wandering the streets with him in a harness.

Have you stopped drinking? (if you don't mind me asking). PM me if you want.

My flOptus wireless modem went offline for a while. What'd I miss?

I had four days to go.
Yes, I did get a lot out of it.
I learned some useful techniques and I understand exactly where and why it all started.
A bit unfortunate I didn't finish but that's the way it goes sometimes.

And I did a firmware update yesterday and it's now failing. Not all updates are a good thing.

Optus sucks. I'm thinking of changing over to TPG again.

Wouldn't you have an Employee Assistance Program?
They have drug and alcohol counselling and you get 6 visits (I think) free.

I'm not sure if I've stopped drinking, to be honest. :?

CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)?
Mindfulness?
All of that BS?

Yeah, I've had my visits for the year and they also gave me extra visits and I've also been referred to 2 work appointed psychs. I definitely have Asperger's. That's the one thing they all INCLUDE in their reports. What the hell is it about me? It's starting to seem like a concerted effort to ... I don't know.

They keep me on because I can program like a son of a b***h and I get their stats high (due to my programming).

I think, most other people in my situation would have been turfed ages ago. I won a National award for a computer program I wrote some time ago that saved our Department a HUGE amount of money... I'm gloating but...

If I'd have been in private enterprise, with the amount of time I've had off sick (sometimes, I just can't face the world), I would have lost my job a long time ago. My boss loves me. And I love her. She's like a Mum to me.

You have to trust in the love of others.
That they know what they see in you.
And try to see yourself from their perspective.

I know what you mean. I've been in rehab for alcoholism and heard it ALL before. In group sessions, I gave up giving all of the 'right' answers about 2 stints in hospital ago because I came to the conclusion that there was no point.

I know it all back to front BUT... in reality, it doesn't matter how well you know it. It's putting it into practice... Or rather, just abstaining... Which is IMPOSSIBLE!!

I'm getting pissed right now!

I've got a case of VB and a cask of Sonata Estate Soft Fruity White going at the same time - ALONE - and diabetes.

I'm gonna die!

And if that don't kill me, the beef vindaloo I've got slow cooking in the crockpot will. :o

^ Do you think it all comes down to self hatred?
At the core?
Better to be hated for being a drunk than to be hated because you are unloveable.
