Maybe if I rant about this, I will feel better.
It's my idiotic neighbours.
The backstory: they had a noisy party shortly after I moved in, keeping me awake. I went round twice and politely asked them to lower the noise so I could sleep. They were rude and verbally abusive. In the end I had to call the police. The police came out twice, but the noise still did not stop. I went round again and pleaded with them in tears to just let me sleep. I was called a f****** little b***** by the man of the house. I have no idea why. I had not done anything wrong. They yelled at me furiously in a most intimidating manner, and the noise still did not stop. The next day they complained to my landlady about me spoiling their special family gathering.
I anticipated that, once the effects of the alcohol wore off, they would be ashamed of their poor conduct and bad language, and come round and apologise, but no. Since then, they've hated me. You see, they are the victims. Yes, they are. It's clear. I am the unreasonable person, for trying to break up a party in the name of unreasonably and selfishly dictating my own desire to sleep in the middle of the night on other people.

I've lived in this street for ten years. TEN YEARS! And who are you? Nobody knows you. Who are you to think you can come round here and tell me to turn my music down?
Apparently the law only applies to new residents. People like him are above UK laws regarding anti-social behaviours, simply because they've lived here longer.
So anyway, today I receive a phonecall from my landlady saying she's received complaints from the neighbours that my grass is too long, and they want me to cut it.
What the heck business is it of theirs if I don't choose to manicure my garden in the way they do theirs?
My grass is hardly "jungle" territory. It's only approaching ankle length. And I have a whiplash injury that makes vacuuming and lawnmowing difficult. Even if I didn't, how is it any of their business? It's not their garden.
Perhaps they think my longer grass is lowering the tone of the street. Well, I happen to think that their rudeness and selfishness and foul abusive manners lower the tone far more.
So I got really mad, and went round to poitely ask them if they were the ones who had phoned, and if so, why they had done such a petty thing? Why didn't they just come directly to me (the tenant) if they wished to discuss how the length of my grass was affecting their day-to-day lives? I didn't get a chance to say all of that, because Mr Man-Of-The-House rudely slammed the door in my face again after only a couple of sentences.
Oh, he's a man he is. A real man, who likes to make vulnerable autistic girls cry by cursing at them as they tremble at his doorstep pleading for sleep, and who has to be dragged away and calmed down by other drunken idiots, and who thinks he's the big man of the street.
I see why it is. They were just waiting to find something to complain about. Some small petty thing. And now they've pounced on it. It's grass. GRASS. I mean, how stupid can you get?
To be honest, it only makes me feel like growing the grass as long as I possibly can, just to get on their nerves.
Of course, I'd probably better not do that, because it would only make matters worse. But it's still an amusing idea.
