Raleigh, are you around? I'm thinking of buying some Discworld books eventually. Do you have any recommendations?

That depends what characters of Discworld you would like to follow.
The Nightwatch (police/crime)
The witches
The wizards
Or DEATH.
?

I don't feel like anyone either.
And if I was someone, it would only be because I decided to be that someone.
Everyone's just thought themselves up anyway.
I could be someone else tomorrow.
I learn and grow so much more without that fixed, singular self.

this belies the whole genetic aspect of personality.

Personality is different to self.

Personality is natural, self is constructed.

I can't f*****g sleep. Whatever position I get into it hurts. So I'm back. 3 of my friends are in the common room too and I'm talking to them and on here too.

I dunno, my bones sometimes and some muscles other times. I jsut can't get into a position that doesn't hurt and I have to move around sometimes; it's probly from sitting so long on the damn computer.

I'm also really excited now because I think someone just propositioned me with a way to publish my book (the fiction about the bipolar girl on death row).

Sitting kills my back.

Says me who is perched on a kitchen chair like L from Deathnote.

Great news about the book.

I sat like that today too; I jsut felt like it for some reason. For 3 hours I sat like that, talking on the phone.

I've made like 5 new PM buddies that talk about great things with me just from the last 2 days; this is great; I'm developing a life and an online presence again. Then there's two of my real life friends who are fooling around on the couch and I'm like ignoring them right now bc I'm typing this.

I volunteered to teach someone how to act as coxswain and I couldn't believe how useless they were.
Seriously, I learnt how to steer in about 5 minutes.
I took this person out for an hour and they still couldn't figure out which way to pull the wires in order to turn the rudder.
Then they would overcompensate, so we sashayed all over the place like a serpent.
I was very nice and patient, but I was starting to get very exasperated when they were unable to make up their mind which span of the bridge to go under so they steered directly at the pylon.
Then directly at a yacht.
Can you not see you need to give leeway to huge red yacht?

Maybe they weren't trying, or maybe they were... in case they were being pressured to learn the steering by someone else but weren't really into it because of other things they had to focus on, please be patient with them!

I've had people try to teach me unwelcome things before and it just interfered in my life.

And now my two friends just walked out together, saying bye to me, I hope they went to bed and not out for coffee without me. :( That'd be a first... usually I'm the most reliable friend here that my friend Brenda has... it's usually me that goes out for coffee with her... I hope they don't think I was ignoring them, being on WP like this...
