Has anyone noticed that there's no thread saying how skinny people rule :?:

That's because they already know that. Society constantly reinforces that skinny people are superior so therefore they don't need to be reminded. :/

That's not always true, Erisad. I didn't hit 100 lbs until just before my 18th birthday and I can't tell you how many people would say horrible things to me. I even had perfect strangers follow me into the bathroom to make sure I didn't throw up my food.

Saaadness. :(

I guess the perfect female image according to what I noticed is about a size 2 with DD breasts, which seems unnatural to me. Anything that deviates from that is seen as wrong. It blows. D:

When I was a size 3 in pants, people made me feel like a freak. My chest wasn't small, either. I had large C cups. I had people asking me how I kept myself from tipping over onto my face. So no... skinny with boobs isn't really what people want.

So they want a girl to look like a 2x4? I'd be worried about losing her or breaking her on accident. :/

I really don't f*****g know. Maybe it's somewhere in the middle? A size 10 to 14 in pants?

I think that is a very negative & hateful attitude to have towards thin people. Maybe this is why some thinner people don't like fat people. It takes quite a lot of work & effort for some people to stay thin.

A lot of people believe it, though. It's not entirely wrong, either. Just look at the women that are all over TV. If she's the least bit chubby, she's dressed in loose fitting and unflattering clothes.

How is it hateful? I'm acknowledging that the world loves them.

And they assume that just because we're bigger that we don't exercise or eat right. A lot of thin people have a naturally high metabolism. Just because I'm big doesn't mean I'm not trying either. People hate fat people because we don't conform to what society wants. We're different, therefore we have to be ostracized, just like what happens to most Aspies. I hate to say it like that but it's true. :/

TeaEarlGreyHot - I don't know. I was still considered "fat" when I wore a size 14. So I really have no idea.

Your very rite but I think fatter people may have an easier time than skinnier people. Skinny people belive that they have to stay thin in order to be liked; they may have self-esteem issues & be obsessed with staying thin. They could have eating disorders as well. Some skinny people would have major problems in life if they became fat

Yes, we have such an easier time. Fat people get charged more for clothes because of extra fabric, we're ignored and mocked in the dating environment, people stare at us in discontent, I can't enjoy ice cream without someone telling me that I shouldn't be eating it. I only eat one dessert a week but just because I'm bigger, people assume I pig out all the time.

See, this is exactly what I was pointing out to Erisad. It's stereotyping and it hurts thin people much more than people realize.

I'm now considered fat, but I'm happier with my body then I've ever been. Why? I don't have people telling me to eat a burger or following me to the bathroom to make sure I don't purge.

I never had an eating disorder, but my psychologists and doctors kept trying to convince me I did. I ate like a pig, but never made myself throw up. Still, I got the flu and suddenly they're threatening to put me in a facility designed to help people with eating disorders.

Skinny people have it very difficult sometimes. They may only have shallow superficial friends who only like em as long as they are skinny. Least you are able to eat when you want. Some skinny people have eating disorders like anorexia & bulimia witch can be very horrible. I've known some skinny women who had major self-esteem issues & would feel like passing out sometimes because they were hungry but wouldn't eat. You are very lucky that you accepted that you are fat instead of falling into that

How about we don't celebrate extremes and celebrate staying healthy instead :?:
