So... are you telling me what to do right now?
As a moderator I can and will do that if necessary - but if you re-read what I said you'll see that is not what I'm doing.I simply suggested (1) if you don't like the new threads (and no-one is saying you must) or (2) you have already answered them all - perhaps you'd like to make a fresh thread of your very own, in which you express new and original ideas.
I am offering you a choice, an alternative.

I am sorry, but I have never ever met anybody here who would call it a bad netiquette or a bad thing in general.
For an indication of how it is considered bad netiquette, simply have Google search with the word necropostingI did that and immediately found these - and many, many more:
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.p ... croposting
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.p ... =necropost

There are certain activities on forums generally - not just this one - which are regarded as bad practice.
One of them I gave as an example IS USING CAPITAL LETTERS BECAUSE IT LOOKS LIKE THE POSTER IS SHOUTING.
It's not "wrong" to do this, and neither is it "wrong" to necropost - it's simply not a very good thing to do.
With the shouting, people will very quickly tell you off for doing it (please note I am not suggesting you are doing it - it's just an example), and it's often the same with necroposting, where the topics have been talked out and done with.
Generally, the fact that a thread has not been resurrected for several years (six years, for this thread) is an indication that people are not interested. If they were interested then the topic would have either never died or would have been resurrected several times.
If most of a forum's threads were old topics which were being resurrected, where would the new topics come from? Without new topics posted to replace the old, dead ones a forum would quickly become boring and as dead as the old threads.
A forum lives through the creation of new topics expressing new ideas.

It´s up to me whether I revive the old threads or not.
Of course it is, but I'm advising you don't do that for the reasons I have already given.Quote:
I thought we have freedom!
But apparently, we are not allowed to use our free fill. I don´t do anything bad, I have never done here anything potentionally harmful. I thought that this is the only place where I can freely express myself, but you forbid me from doing this. Why? WHY? You cannot blame me for answering the threads! I never even insulted anybody here! But now I am f***ing angry. I won´t do what you want, I am not your toy!
I love it here and I don´t want to leave just because you say that answering old threads is bad! It does not make sense!! !
I suggest you calm down and re-read what was said.
The only person using the words "not allowed", "forbid", "ordered what to do" is yourself, because you're misunderstanding what I said and over-reacting.
