I would, regardless of the pay rise or how glorious their planet was, remain on Earth. I've grown quite fond of this big, ol' rock.

This question gives me the insite into how content people are generally. I asked my workmates and they all said that they wanted to stay here on earth. They probably have friend, family and partners and do not want to gamble them for the unknown. I asked one of my housemate of 44 years, who lives in a bedsit and unemployed said he would go with the aliens.

I'd go home, but I admit the prospect of a whole new life on an alien world would give me pause.

Hmmm. Well, I'd be curious about their planet, that's true, but I don't think I'd go. I don't want to leave Earth.

The reason why we're violent is because we have limited resources. In ancient times we fought for land and food. Now we fight for money. If we had the technology to take advantage of the nearly infinite resources scattered throughout the vast distances of space, none of that would matter. Space is so big, there's so many stars and planets, any sort of fighting would be unnecessary. There's enough for everyone.

In the western world I think we have enough resources. Aliens may fight to acquire status. It isn't all about having enough to eat.
