Been cutting & dyeing my own hair for many years. I really don't like the chemical smell, but it permeates every hair styling establishment. Can't deal with the smell in salons...I also hate the high price of hair cuts.

My hair has to be dry & straightened to cut it. So it's just easier for me to do it all myself. I don't have to explain the how or why it has to be that way. :-)

I either do it myself or get my dad to do it, usually just a simple buzz cut.

I hate going to the barbers.

I've done it a few times myself.

Most notably when I was 12 I decided that my fringe was far too long, and cut it at a jaunty angle, just before going to school.
It didn't end well.

I have cut my own fringe a couple of times but that's the extent of it.

I have shaved my head a couple times. But I am interested to learn how to cut/trim my own hair. I just need the right tools and some lessons.

I do cut my own hair. Why pay somebody $20 for a haircut when it only really requires the expenditure of the opportunity cost of time and patience?

why not do as i do, with a flowbee, a beard trimmer and a good pair of barber's shears/detail scissors? those things plus 2 large mirrors enable me to cut my own hair as well as any barbershop.

I did with my beauty shaver and attachments one time and I thought my hair looked really good. My mum said that my hair looked like a tupet.

Yeah, for the past ten years. Usually only trim it but every so often get the urge to chop half of it off like today, and it is much more satisfying to do it yourself than schedule an appt. and pay someone else to.

I shaved my head bald once, and it didn't look very good. I've even chopped chunks of my hair, in a terrible failure before.
