I have no real brothers or sisters. But, my cousin is just like a brother. His parents died when he was a young teenager. So, he came to live with us and my parents treat him like the son they never had.

My grandpa on my dads side had 4 brothers and 4 sisters.

My mother and father are dead. My dad died from small cell lung cancer in 1999 at the age of 44 when I was 13 and my mom died this year due to emphysema at the age of 63 when I was 25 and in the month I turned 26. I would encourage everyone to consider smoking an unwise choice and not become addicted if you haven't already and if you are then to try to quit. It really sucks to have lost my parents to disease, and avoidable disease at that.

My entire family is catholic except for me.

My cousin was in put in jail for stealing a large sum of money from his brother to buy drugs.

My dad was 49 years old when I was born and my mother was 30 years old.

None of my family are aspies except for me.

Quite a few truths, actually.

1. My mom and step-dad are 11 years apart.
2. All of us are insane.
3. Not even my grandparents talk to my dad anymore.
4. My sister acts like my mother. :roll:
5. I doubt most of my family is even remotely familiar with the term "Autism."

Majority of my relatives work for the state. My uncle's a soldier; my mom and all her sisters (and therefore my aunts), as well as some of my cousins, work for the Education department; three of my dad's sisters, and other cousins as well, are public-school teachers; my sister used to be a public-school teacher before working as a teacher in the Emirates; and my dad himself, a Certified Public Accountant, worked for the Education and the Treasury departments before working in the SaudiAramco-Sumitomo venture in Saudi Arabia.

Same here. My last job, before I became a full-time mum, was with the council's social work dept. My husband works for IT at the same council. My mum was a home carer, with the same council, before she retired. My dad worked as a commissionnaire with another council, before he retired. My cousin (the one who is like a brother) has just left the army, after serving 16 years.
