CyborgUprising: Well that is good that living underground is calming and I do hope you get some fresh air a few times a week. Also do try to eat healthy that never hurts.

A farmhouse in whichever part of Somerset is prettiest. I would work in London, though. I like driving.

edit: That or a decommissioned atlas missile silo.

Either a deserted island in the Caribbean or a cabin in the woods far away from any human contact.

Just curious, why a decommissioned missile silo?

Someplace with a mild and temperate climate and I would live in a mansion with a maid and a cook. When I come from work there will be a great meal cooked for me. Actually I would change cook to chef 8)

newtown a couple of suburbs from where i live now. i mean here is good but newtown has an anarchist-y feel to it- its grungy, left wing and is covered in graffiti. and its where queer people go and the terraces are ever so quaint.

Random place in the French countryside, where I can have a garden and sit on a porch to watch the sun rise and set

On the outskirts of a very small town where everybody knew everybody else, but didn't go interfering in their lives, somewhere warm, between 65-70 degrees F year round... except on Christmas when it would magically start snowing, only to melt a few days later. I'd be the reclusive hermit on the hill that kids told ghost stories about. I wonder if a place like that exists. Now I have to find it.

I'm sure it does exist.

I can think of a number of different places for a variety of reasons. Given my choice, I'd have trouble making up my mind.

Here are a few choices (ignoring issues like jobs):

1) Bryan/College Station, Texas -- good libraries at Texas A&M and could occupy myself going to various sports events, particularly baseball, softball, soccer, and volleyball.

2) Santa Fe, New Mexico -- I like the style of adobe houses there. Rather expensive, though.

3) Sitka, Alaska -- Not a whole lot of people spread out over an area (including water) larger than Rhode Island and Delaware combined. Good fishing.

I haven't been to the following, but from what I have read about them, I think I would like them:

4) Ireland, somewhere in the country preferably near the water. Would probably spend too much time in the pubs, though.

5) Isle of Man -- Have wanted to go there ever since I was in high school and read about the TT. I suspect I would get tired of it, though.

6) Alderney -- The second smallest channel Island.

Other:

7) San Miguel de Allende, Mexico - serious concerns about the war between the drug cartels and the Mexico and the clear branching out the drug cartel into other illegal activities such as extortion and even more kidnapping.
