The two most cliché words contained in pop songs are "moon", and "June". Songs that mention the moon aren't exactly rare. But some seem more relevant to the anniversary of Apollo Eleven than others.
Here is a rockablilly classic by a guy named "Moon" (Moon Mullican) from even before Sputnik.

Interesting. The first and only time I ever encountered the phrase 'Moon and June' was in this entertaining and rather disjointed Belgian TV interview with a somewhat coked up Marc Bolan (at the 5:24 mark). It makes a bit more sense now...
