No I doubt it.
Because

1. People enjoy the process and tailoring it down like that would make them look for something else to find issue with just so they have something to keep at the grooming process n standing at the vanity .its basically a religion at this point.
Plus they arent gonna want to throw out all the stuff they invested so much money in... They will find a way to convince themselves they need it still.

2
people enjoy variety + creativity. That would bore them and be short-lived.

3. People make money from convincing you you're not ok. So the other companies n marketing would be sure to create new trends n aesthetics ..

things to make u keep changing
.
Touted by the fittest most talented and attractive and admired celebrities so as to make the accompanying paraphernalia and 'packaging' penetrate the subconscious as attractive by association.

preferably something that requires more upkeep so as to run out of products faster and repurchasing.

that is a sad statement about the intelligence of too many people. a few pertinent quotes -
"Nobody ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the american people." (H. L. Mencken)
"The biggest big business in America is not steel, automobiles, or television. It is the manufacture, refinement and distribution of anxiety." (Eric Severeid)

Eric Sevareid never met me ! I Have enough anxiety to go around for everyone, just ask my doctor , whom is so durn sure it can be treated by medicine in a bottle or other such techniques , how do you get a chance to recover from it , if it is the most prolific thing in your daily life , And believe me I have tried to turn the anxiety meter down to zero .
It’s like the meter sense this action and automatically sees , I am having less , and it’s duty is to turn it back up by any method possible . In the absolutely most unexpected ways . My anxiety squelch button appears to be broken .
It appears have tried to turn it soooo hard it has all but broken off .

I don't have any yet, and there's plenty of guys in their 20s and thirties going grey or balding where I work. Yay for the silver lining within my genetic disaster.

As always I feel America gets a bad rap...everyone everywhere can be those ways..and worse.

but that 2nd quote is quite apt perhaps? I guess it's a matter of untangling why's in everything.

I saw TWO WHITE HAIRS (brown hair tapering and white near the root-- at least 2 inches) this week.

Felt quite happy.
