Today I've learned how to put on heirs of groovyness. It's not really such a good idea. I'm remembering what I've posted in General Autism earlier on. Shouldn't I be at peace with myself as I drift off to sleep? Who am I trying to change for? If it's for my fellow WP members, I'm better off going full-on Schultz with the avatar. I've made peace with myself in real life.

TIL: Dire wolves aren't wolves at all, they last shared a most recent common ancestor with the wolf-like canines 5.7 million years ago.

This also suggests that C. edwardii and C. armbrusteri may be members of Aenocyon, rather than Canis.

Also, the remains of a complete male A. dirus are sometimes easy to identify compared to other Canis specimens because the baculum (penis bone) of the dire wolf is very different from that of all other living canids.

Apparently shoebills aren't aggressive to humans.

Today I debunked a fundamental maxim. I put a pot of water on a hot burner and watched continuously. It did in fact boil.

Tomorrow I take the spectrophotometer out to the fence line.

After that you need to figure out the exact number of cooks it takes to...cause a net decrease in the quality of the broth!
