What is the farthest you've ever walked?

New Year's Day - I went for a long walk and the route was about 10 miles.

About 30mi (~48km) in one day - sunup to sundown.

26 miles

From Windham, Maine to Scarborough, Maine and back again.

Not the farthest I've ever traveled under my own power though. That would have been by bicycle from Windham to Biddeford, Maine and back again (54 miles)

I'm not sure of the distance in miles or km but when I asked for directions from the train station in Kyoto to a temple I was told to take the bus! 8O

I went on an all-day hike for 24.5 miles on rough terrain - that was hard since I didn't have the proper hiking boots - ouch. All day long trip and Alaska is beautiful (trail from Girdwood to Eagle River in South Central AK). Mosquito bitten.

5, 000 miles. And then 5, 000 more.

So I guess that's 10, 000 miles in total.

Farthest I have walked was 11.5 miles. Downtown Bellevue, WA, southeast 3.5 miles to the Coal Creek Parkway and Coal Creek hiking trail, traveled that another 2 miles until I reached a trail crossing (Newcastle YMCA to the right, and toward Cougar Mountain if I kept going east) where I turned around and walked back the 5.8 miles I had traveled.
Not sure what my "odometer" has now at age 17 1/2. Probably a good 10,000-15,000 miles, total including walking to and back from school, hikes, city walks, walks to the library, and various other functions.

For me, it was about 10 miles (if you're counting distance walks and not simply walking around). I still can't believe I made the walk at the time as I was 250 pounds, out of work and school for a whole year and was completely out of shape. Told myself it would only be a couple miles and a few hours later, wondered why I wasn't there yet :P

Now that I'm more or less in shape it'd be fun to try the walk again and see if I can improve my time or see if I could beat my unintentional record.

In one day? About 60 miles. Not all at once, but in three 20-mile stretches, with a 15-minute break every 5 miles.

I don't know the exact distance of how far I walked but I got lost one time and just carried on walking none stop for about 20 hours.

I ended up in hospital at the end of it all because I was completely burnt out and exhausted.

I'm ok now though. :D

I used to walk everywhere before I learned how to drive.

One time when I was in high school I walked to some volunteer thing I was a part of one weekend only to find nobody there, so I walked all over town to other possible places the group could have been before walking all the way back home again. I would have covered about 15km that day.
