Born to be a flower
I looked out my window and imagined what it would be like
To commune with the glories flowers, oh what a sight
And I lusted to be one with them instead
Of this complicated life that I some times just dread
I saw a bird land on a branch of a tree
And I said to my self she is sitting there just for me
I saw a butterfly flitting and flying above my head
And landing on a flower snuggling as if in bed
I heard a blue bird sing a sweet song
Humming while she work, all the day long
I saw a lady bug sitting on a blade of grass
I Wish I spoke her languish, oh the questions I would ask
I watched an army of ants craw up from there hill
And wondered if at night they'd be there still
I followed a dragonfly hovering over a stream
I saw his face in the reflection like that in a dream
I was in awe of the fire flies that lit up the night
There color of green was such a lovely sight
And I gazed at the moon hung high in the sky
And I thought to my self if only could fly
Like the birds that sing and the flying little bugs
Born to fly not ever needing love and hugs
What a wonderful life to live in the mist of the flowers
Were the blossom's sweet fragrant you could smell on for hours
Like the life of a bumble bee, buzzing round and round free
Living one with nature, how grand that would be.
To flit like butterflies, oh what a Life
To live like a bug with out such strife
If only I grew a flower, instead of being born
Then may be my mind and heart would not be so torn
My only duty in life would be to just dance
To wave my steam gracefully, eyes staring in a trance
And if granted my wish would I be a bug, flower or a weed
let me float in the air like that of like the dandelion seed
And people would love me for just being me.
And not pick me apart for things I can never be
Some times a just wish I could like a bird fly away
And feel the wind kissing my feathers thru out the day
Born to this world a girl looking though this window glass
And every fiber of my body wants to be one with the grass
The weight of the world seems to squash me like an ant
I only wish to be green and unfeeling like a plant
