Somebody turned a bus off wrong and it set off the extremely loud alarm, just when I was standing right next to it. I hate those types of buses, where you press one wrong button or hold a button down 1 nanosecond too long or too short and it sets off a really really shockingly loud alarm thing.

It's been about half an hour and I'm still shaking from the shock of it. I've never liked sudden loud noises. But because humans have to be deaf, society has to rely on loud sudden noises, and us nervous people have to just live with it.

I can relate. I'm not nervous, but my hearing is very sensitive so anything loud is awful for me too. My neighbors frequently have parties and blast loud music, which they're doing today. They turn up the bass so high it rattles my house. It's a Tuesday, for crying out loud.
Worse though, I'm photosensitive. And because humans are apparently blind, everything has to be as brightly lit as possible and photosensitive people just have to suffer.

I'm not photosensitive but I know what you mean.

My hearing isn't any better than anyone else's (in fact my hearing is mildly deaf and will likely get worse as I get older), but I have always been easily startled, and sudden loud noises hurt every nerve in my body. Some noises don't startle me, but vehicle horn sounds do. They're just so sudden that you feel like the sound waves physically hit you.

I am extremely photosensitive too. It is quite disabling when people insist on putting bright lights on everywhere, especially indoors.

I relate to people seeming blind in general.

I love bright lights. Maybe I'm blind.

I just get frustrated at humans having to rely on loud sudden noises to have to catch our attention and humans idolise it like it's the best thing since sliced bread. I just wish they'd invent something that can be loud enough to be heard by everyone with hearing but won't make people startle.

I think if you like bright lights, you either have poor eyesight or maybe are hyposensitive to lights instead of hypersensitive (the opposite) - and enjoy the stimulation of bright lights?

I know people who put every light on even during bright daylight indoors.

My eyesight ain't perfect but I refuse to wear glasses because I hate myself in glasses and can't stand things perched on my nose. My eyesight isn't poor enough to be problematic, it's only problematic when I have to read small text from a certain distance.

I've always liked bright lights and actually get anxious in a dim room. It's like I can feel my pupils expand and it gives me eye strain. Putting on a bright light when the sun is beginning to set is a godsend for me, as it soothes my eyes.

For the first time in my life, I know what it's like to be dirt poor.

There is somebody in my family like that. I'm pretty sure she's night blind because she complains about how dim it is in my room and wanted a super bright motion light installed on the front of our house even though there are already super bright led street lights and our neighbors already have outdoor lights providing illumination. And she has super bright leds in all the fixtures in our house too instead of softer lights, even though she's usually in her room, which means they're just off most of the time. She likes them on whenever she's in the room, even in the middle of the day when there's plenty of sunlight. And she gets annoyed when I ask her to close my door while she has the lights near my room on, so I don't get blinded by them. And I get annoyed when she forgets to turn them off again when she leaves.

Sore neck today

I was taking my garbage out and on my way back to the elevator, I saw the scam artist who stole $280 off me back in 2017. I got so angry that I yelled out, "Fracking sch***t!"

Humans have gotten so stupid it's mind boggling.

There's this movie where a guy gets "frozen" and wakes up in the future to learn that humans in the world (or at least the American part anyway), have become so stupid that a person of average intelligence in this era is a genius compared to them.

The future is now.

I agree with how stupid people have gotten. I find most people impossible to talk to because of that. People were very bright back in the 60s and 70s. I wonder if postmodern technology has anything to do with it?

I've got to stop waking up with headaches. Coffee can be expensive because I use 4 times the Stevia to sweeten it as I do tea.
