we'd be considered hermits if we preferred our own company in our own space, to other people and spaces. :alien: :alien:

I dreamt a mélange of things, of being aboard an immense cruise ship and hospital but it was on dry land surrounded by gardens with lots of people milling about. of elevators and bedrooms and locker rooms. of being discharged from the hospital and trying to make my way circuitously towards the front lobby and exit but being frustrated by the amount of baggage I had to haul, like I had to put stuff on a cart I had so much stuff but I ended up losing some baggage here and there, and the cart failed when I took it on the path outside the hospital as it was a rocky path so I went back inside but I kept hitting the locker rooms when I wanted to just get to the front lobby and into the parking lot to drive away. then I awoke.

Last night I had a weird dream that involved time travel, in a way.

It took place over centuries and kinda merged them (like jumping back and forth) and I was in all of them to get the whole story, and basically, I think it started when I was on an archaeological dig and we opened up this large room that had ancient clothing in it and I was transported back in time to when they were building it, right before the flood started. It was something that was like Noah's ark, but instead of a boat it was this massive red stone building that had been built to withstand the flood, and it was built by these strange aliens who resembled humans (they had a king, queen, and two princes, and their society was technologically advanced, but similar to ancient Greek in looks). It was located in the Grand Canyon, or somewhere similar (desert, canyon). There was another alien species there too, but they decided they would just see if they could survive the flood. I remember when the waters rose, we saw the other king sitting on a throne outside of his castle, which was built into the side of a cliff, and he was wearing amazingly long and beautiful red robes and a predator mask to help him breath under water. He also had tentacles.

The red building I was in was huge and was built with these really thick windows.

In the basement they had something like a gallery, or museum, of statues and there was this really cool creature there, something like a shimmering hippocampus type creature that was clear like crystal, but had a rainbow sheen to it (borealis affect). Very similar to this (by Diana Cervantes) but more crystal see through and less color:

On one of the levels, there was an indoor garden that had a large pool, and there was this strange creature similar in looks to a jellyfish mixed with an octopus, pretty small and brown, and I was playing with it (it was completely harmless). There was a female friend there (can't remember her name but she had brown curly hair) and the two princes, and one of them I think was enamored with me, though nothing came of it. They had kind of milk chocolate brown skin with a golden sheen as if they were covered in a fine gold dust, and they also had black curly hair, black eyes, and were actually pretty nice though very privileged/sheltered.

After the water hit, we saw the other alien nation wasn't doing too bad. They weren't our enemy, per se, but we weren't really on good terms with them. At least we weren't at war. The waters didn't recede for a while, and the aliens eventually died (lack of circulating air and oxygen maybe? It was like they all just laid down and fell asleep).

Thanks :)
My mom has been saying for years I should make them into movies. I have a lot of illustrations I've done based on dreams.

I dreamed I was back in high school and my teacher was my old adviser in high school. He got mad and yelled at me because I did something weird, think it was moving my desk out of place or something and I yelled at him. It was quite distressing and I woke up after that. He actually did yell at me once, in drivers ed, he taught that, when after a quiz I went into the hallway twice for a drink of water because I finished really early and got discontent just sitting there. Apparently he thought I was being snobby or something, scared the living crap out of me and I said nothing but sat there petrified. I think he figured out his mistake pretty quickly because that was the end of it.

Silence really does unnerve people, makes them think all sorts of crazy thoughts about you.

Lately, most of my dreams seem to be rip-offs of The Grudge. A recent dream involved the gruesome deaths of maybe a dozen children. I saw at least three hanging corpses.

:o
Corpse
To see a corpse in your dream represents an aspect of yourself that has died. Or it may mean that you are unexpressive.

I've never had a straight up corpse appear in a dream, hm, I've been attacked by last of us zombies and once had a mummy in a dream when I was really young, but never any bodies lying around. My night terrors are always of being stalked by something that I usually don't see till it gets me, like a xenomorph, one of the few things that still do get a real rise of fear out of me. That and complete abstract insanity. Do supernatural folk horror movies usually scare you or did you just watch a Grudge type movie recently?

It's usually on occasion when I have music playing in my dreams. Thankfully, I haven't had any dreams, good or bad, for the past few nights because it's an annoyance. I have no idea why I have dreams that scare the crap out of me, but last night, I was dreaming I was hosting a TV show about someone disappearing and it showed images of someone {likely male} being burned alive. It may have been my old friend Zach {autistic male}being burned alive by my mom and/or my sister, although my mom, my sister, and many others in the dream were dressed in a similar manner to people in the KKK.

To be clear, Zach was white, he wasn't black, Hispanic, or any other non-white race. The irony of the dream was that because I was hosting the show, I didn't express any emotion at all. I was just staring at the camera.

I don't know if my mind was being sarcastic, but the dream itself was like watching a great thriller movie.

do you know why your subconscious mind would have your best friend being treated like that by your kin?

No, but when I was 18, my mom forced me and Zach apart because she believed him to be gay. I did call his number a few weeks ago, but what I got was: "This number is now disconnected." However, I have had suspicions since I turned 18 that Zach was being abused by his own father, ironically, a doctor.
