^^
Also, I forgot to mention that to this day, my mom has NEVER apologized about forcing me and Zach apart. In fact, she pretends that me and Zach never met at all.

I've had a number of weird or disturbing dreams recently that I've been nervous about posting because of what people will say what they're supposed to mean, even though I don't really believe in dream prophecies or whatever. Seems they never predict anything good. But here goes...

I'm pretty sure it's never a good thing to see skulls in a dream, even when it's during a nap on the couch and not in bed at night. Especially when they have angry-looking, burning red eyes instead of empty sockets, and they were on a living person who has some disease or curse on them that has caused their skin to stretch tightly over their face and their arms to look "crispy", like they're covered in a batter that is flaking off... but as gruesome as that sounds, it wasn't very realistic. It was more like something out of a video game.

Speaking of video games, I often have dreams about them after I've been playing them. The night before Canada Day I dreamed I had my 3DS with me and was trying to play Super Mario 3D Land, which I bought just a few weeks ago. But I was downtown where a lot of people were watching and making me uneasy, so I went to the top of a tall building and tried playing it there. But my ability to control the game was seriously messed up. I kept dying in the game just from pushing a button, like those dreams I have about accidentally killing my virtual pets. Then two of my cousins showed up, and I decided to just take my 3DS and toss it down to them along with a bunch of other things I had with me that I can't remember. Then one of them started playing the game but they had deleted it and now it was only in Japanese!

When I woke up from that dream I had Super Mario on the brain all day long, and the fact that lots of people were dressed in red and white for Canada Day (including me), didn't help.

The last dream I remember was this morning, was seeing something out of a My Little Pony FiM cartoon where a villain who resembled the one out of the first animated MLP special I saw as a kid (and was a real souce of nightmare fuel), made it eternally dark and then the ponies started being encased in ice! From the temperature dropping from no sun, I guess. Funny since that's what would probably happen if Nightmare Moon had succeeded in making it dark for always, and then there would be no ponies left at all to "appreciate" her bringing the night! Actually I bough a plushie of Twilight Sparkle yesterday, maybe that's caused the dream. :)

Oh, and there's another dream I just remembered from the night before last. I had found myself in a car that I had been driving but did not know who it belonged to. It was the middle of the night, raining or snowing, and like what happens in so many dreams, I was partly naked. I was wearing a top but I was naked from the waist down and kept trying to pull my top over it. The car was across some railroad tracks that are just outside the place where my parents live. I believed that I had been sleepwalking (which I don't do in real life), which is why I had suddenly woken up (in the dream) in this situation. No, a train did not come to run over the car with me in it, I got it safely across and then actually preceded to drive it back to my home in the city. But I had a lot of difficulty steering and ended up going in a ditch or something. My parents and a police officer (I think) then show up and I'm more embarrassed at being partly naked than for stealing and nearly crashing a car! At first my mother hugged me because she was glad I was safe, but then we get in their truck and she and my dad started yelling at me, or something.

Being hugged by my mother while I'm naked waist-down, that sure feels... awkward. I remember her leaning forwards to keep from touching.

Skull
To see a skull in your dream symbolizes danger, evil or death. Alternatively, a skull represents the intellect or secrets of the mind. You are keeping certain things hidden. Maybe you have things on your mind that you really want or need to express, thoughts are burning a hole in your soul.
To dream that a skull is talking to you suggests that aspects of yourself that you have suppressed or rejected is starting to come back to the surface. These aspects will not be denied any longer and must be dealt with on a conscious level.
I won't touch the mother and naked dream parts. 8O

My last dream I was getting undressed to get in the shower. I tried to take off my socks, but once I did there was just another pair underneath. I took off 5 pairs, but there were still more. So I checked under the remaining pairs till I found the bottom and then took them off in bulk. I think there were another five pairs at least in that bulk. My feet were bare and then the dream ended.

Socks
To dream that you are wearing socks signifies warmth and comfort. Alternatively, to see socks in your dream indicate that you tend to yield to other's wishes. You are flexible and understanding in your thinking. To wear or see multiple pairs of socks in your dream may be a punny way of saying you or someone close to you is being hit repeatedly with surprises, some unpleasant ones.
Shower
To dream that you are taking a shower in clear, fresh water symbolizes spiritual or physical renewal and forgiveness. You are washing the burdens out of your life. Alternatively, the dream may be a metaphor that you are at least trying to "shower" someone with gifts or love. To dream that you are showering with your clothes on means that even though you may change your outer appearances, it does not change who you are on the inside. Alternatively, your dream indicates that you are unwilling to let your guard down. You are still keeping up a protective barrier between you and others.
To dream you are showering with multiple sets of socks on would seem to mean you can't let go of something or can't relax your defensive posture no matter what is done to accommodate your fears or concerns. You may be taxing the patience of somebody trying to get through to you.

Last night, I dreamed that I got water in/on my iPod Touch, and I had to put it in a bowl of rice, and hope that it wouldn't die. It was so scary, though, since I depend on my iPod Touch to distract me from my anxiety, and a new one would be quite costly. (Sadly, in my dream, I was just as poor as I am in real life.)

Question: Has anyone had multiple versions of the same dream over the course of several nights?

I've never had a straight up corpse appear in a dream, hm, I've been attacked by last of us zombies and once had a mummy in a dream when I was really young, but never any bodies lying around. My night terrors are always of being stalked by something that I usually don't see till it gets me, like a xenomorph, one of the few things that still do get a real rise of fear out of me. That and complete abstract insanity. Do supernatural folk horror movies usually scare you or did you just watch a Grudge type movie recently?

I do have a thing for supernatural and morbid stories.

yeh, that's the crumby thing about most dreams, we never are able to escape our mundane reality more than once in a blue moon. I can't recall ever having dreamt I was wealthy. :|

that dream is trying to get through to your waking conscious understanding, it is a message that is repeating until you get it. can you tell me what it was?

Last night I dreamt I was on this website called 'Wrong Planet'. It was really peculiar ... but I actually quite liked it.

What a pity that we rarely if ever dream the same thing twice.

Not sure about that. I don't think I've ever had the same dream twice, but I often dream about the same event, situation or drama in a different form - i.e: certain things haunt me, but they manifest themselves differently.

I used to keep dreaming about being in work hell or being trapped in a dingy lavatory with flooding toilets. the same damned dreams over and over.

Figures, with Titans eating people and all.

Most of my dreams don't seem that interesting later on, taking off socks
Although I could interpret the socks to be major life barriers, as with each pair I pulled off the more anxious but confident I got. There were 10 pairs, but I only pulled off 6, with 5 in one in the last major one. Wonder what bare feet is supposed to mean. My feet being present could also be important because of any sport in my life running has always be been foremost and my favorite. Its also been the most anxiety ridden. Or it could be the fact that I just showered before bed that night after running :o.

I dreamed I was in the woods walking when I came into a clearing that had 6 grizzly bears in it. They chased me for a while until eventually I climbed up a tree. After a while of waiting at the base they gave up and went away. I carefully lowered myself out of the tree and continued on my way. I then came across them again, but this time they were sleeping and I tried to sneak by. Somehow I ran right into one and it woke up. They mauled me and the dream ended.
On a related note I'm visiting Yellowstone next week with my family :)
