A thread for posting random pictures already exists, here: http://www.wrongplanet.net/postt47399.html
I think it's time that the random jumble of stuff being posted here is posted there instead - WP really doesn't need two random images threads.

On the other hand, this thread certainly appears to have the more interesting pictures.
An "image of the day" indicates that there should be something special about the pictures being posted. Just any random picture requires nothing special about the pictures.
