in all seriousness, for the same reason that some people cannot abide rap music or Lawrence welk polkas or the color chartreuse. as the people smarter than me have said, "De gustibus non est disputandum." [no disputing taste]. I also can't handle olives or cucumbers or caraway seeds. :eew:

Ditto here, Auntie, at least with the cucumbers and caraway. Either would make me quite sick. I don't mind black olives, though, but can't tolerate green ones very well.
However I think my worst nightmare would be eating sauerkraut. I can't get near it at all and I even remember I would ditch school lunch entirely back in grade school on days the cafeteria was serving it, munching on a Power House candy bar I snuck to school from home instead outside the building.

to me, black olives are marginally more tolerable than the green ones which to me taste both medicinally bitter, metallic and above all, SOUR!! ! :eew: :eew: :eew: :!:

Interesting, lots of people don't like black olives, I could eat them like candy. I also really like sauerkraut. But then, I do like stuff that tastes a bit bitter and salty.

Back to topic, I dreamt I had someone over to fix my PC- don't know what the problem with it was - and he was a pretty cute guy - kept flirting with me the whole time - and then asked me for a date :D man was I pissed when I woke up..

I guess we're all wired differently for these things. the bad thing about good dreams is waking up from them. :|

I had a dream about tigers in a forest at night. I wonder if I was inspired by William Blake? :study:

My last two dreams I can't quite get the meaning of.

1. I was on a race against time with several other people. Apparently we had to transport something somewhere, and it was a matter of life and death. Towards the end several people of my 'team' died and I had to continue regardless to stay in time without even hesitating. Finally me and 3-4 survivors made it. We arrived in some building and gave a book to a man with longer dark hair. Apparently the book was supposed to be very important. But the guy only said he already knew it and then suddenly it was not a book anymore, but a new 'The Sims' game.

Same dream, but earlier I guess: I was in the woods, maybe it was raining and I was wet all over. I found a wooden house and entered it, looking for shelter. A man lived inside and seemed very confused, he was insecure and kind of afraid of me, but let me stay there for a day. I took a shower in his bathroom and afterwards I sat opposite of him and we talked about something. Somehow the issue came up that I am ugly :D He said something about agreeing that I am ugly and then I could suddenly see myself in 3rd person, and in the dream I was a woman with red hair... and a noticeable red-ish beard :D

2. Tonight, I dreamt about my pet rabbit which actually died 8 years ago. In the dream I still had it, but had apparently forgotten about feeding him for a long time. When I remembered about him, I rushed to the cage and miraculously the rabbit was still alive, but noticeably thin and looked kind of sick. I felt really bad about it and promised myself I would take better care of it from now on. Actually I had this kind of dream several times in my life - dreaming that I have forgotten to feed my pet rabbit, years after it actually died. I don't know why, since that never actually happened. It had a happy little bunny life and died of old age.

^^^
Rabbit
To see a rabbit in your dream signifies luck, magical power, and success. You have a positive outlook on life. In particular, to see a white rabbit in your dream symbolizes faithfulness in love. The white rabbit also serves as a guide to steer you toward the right direction. To see a black rabbit in your dream refers to fear of intimacy.

am SWAGging here, but to see a hare [wild brownish rabbit] in your dream represents swiftness, transformation or self-sacrifice. What are you giving up or sacrificing in your waking life? It may also symbolize your rash behavior or cleverness.
Gray
Gray indicates fear, fright, depression, ill health, ambivalence and confusion. You may feel emotionally distant isolated, or detached. Alternatively, the color gray symbolizes your individualism. Applied to rabbits it would seem to be a downer or that you do best when you do things yourself rather than depending on the goodwill of others.

Thanks Aunty. Both rash behaviour and cleverness make sense for me. Also regarding the grey hare, my scheduled stomach tumour removal surgery (which ironically was supposed to happen TODAY) was placed on hold after a pre-op physical showed I have "left ventricular hypertrophy", which means an enlarging heart. The doctors have started me on extra medication to see if they can get that under control and perhaps take out the tumour in the spring if they feel I'm healthy enough. (crossing fingers, better than saying, "cross my heart and hope to die")...

prego my good man :) some perhaps unsolicited advice, I got from the book "wheat belly" - there is a very good chance your health ails will improve if you eliminate all refined carbs from the menu. I did that and it made all the difference, so far.

Thanks for the advice, but it's difficult for me to make any dietary changes due to my SPD. I'll have to be treated with supplements and medication instead, and hope for the best.

I had a dream about golden tigers in a forest at night not that long ago. What's that all about?

^^^^
Tiger
To see a tiger in your dream represents power and your ability to exert it in various situations. The dream may also indicate that you need to take more of a leadership role. Alternatively, the tiger represents female sexuality, aggression, and seduction.
Gold
The golden color reflects a spiritual reward, richness, refinement and enhancement of your surroundings. It also signifies your determination and unyielding nature. To see something golden in your dream symbolizes wealth, riches, natural healing, illumination and/or spirituality. It is also a symbol of love, longevity and domestic bliss. Negatively, gold may represent greed, corruption and temptation.
Forest
To dream that you are in or walking through the forest signifies a transitional phase. Follow your instincts. Alternatively, it indicates that you want to escape to a simpler way of life. You are feeling weighed down by the demands of your life. To dream that you are wandering in a forest indicates that you are searching through your subconscious for a better understanding of yourself.
