I'll add just one more thing relating to the introspective thoughts this evening:

Now that the pouting and complaining is done, I suppose I'm ready for what comes next. This isn't depression, this is just reflection and trying to bring my ideas into the real world. Although I do tend to reduce moods, this is the kind of reduction where people nearby just get closer to being apathetic rather than actual negative emotion.

ADDITION:
I think there is a better word than, "idealism," when describing this kind of despair. Perhaps, "naïveté?"
