Thanks. It's the inside of an abandoned school bus. That's the driver's seat. I didn't see a steering wheel. Perhaps the driver moved it telepathically. :P

I'd like to be able to get more shots like that. Is that a single exposure or did you use HDR software?

My recent programming project has been to write my own algorithms for merging photos.

Mobile phone was a bit off with pictures today. These are Covent Garden, Piccadilly Circus and the Soho area of central London (roughly) It was a day after the royal wedding and there were still bits and peices on the street and loads of tourists

They'll come out extremely blurry due to the slow shutter-speed. Mobile phone cameras have tiny sensors, and thus, very slow shutter-speeds.

Anyway, my time at the pub yesterday:

The Gunpowder Mild tastes kind of milky and really isn't my thing at all. It's been on for over a year as a constant beer. It never changes.

The Hawkshead Lakeland Gold is a fantastic beer, brewed in Staveley up in Cumbria. It's a golden ale, 4.4% with a goodly hop character to it.

Bowland Brewery's Bowland Dragon is another golden beer. Very crisp and nice on the palate. Yum. 4.2%.

And then there is The Legend - Old Peculier. 5.6%. :)

i was discussing the beer and ale percentages with someone, and it seems to vary quite widely from country to country. here is canada the beer is typically 5%, with craft brews sometimes a little higher.

i prefer a DIPA where the extra hops will bring it up to around 8-9%, though you can't buy that in a pub - only in a bottle. there is one restaurant that brews and serves a 9-10% barleywine right on site, and it's pretty good.

love the pic of the taps, by the way.

Gotta cheer anyone who drinks ale in a land of larger, cider and alco-pops

hyperlexian try a few Belgium and German beers they will knock your sox off some of go up to 12%.
I love Beligum beer :D

Edit: Just a small selection of my favourite UK beers.
Oakham's Old Tosspot 5.2%
Cains Blackout Winter Warmer 5.5% (any other Cains beers as its one of local breweries)
Abbeydale's Last Rites 11% & Black Mass 6.66% (One of my favourite breweries)
Harviestoun's Bitter and Twisted 4.2%

I'll second cdfox7's take on Belgian beer! My first was Gulden Draak, a really nice dark triple. Mmm!
