WTF mate?

I confess I'm a slacker with my correspondence, as usual. But the weekend's here, hurrah!

I confess that due to esteem issues, I am always shocked that anyone cares, but I am very grateful and thank you both.
I confess that I am managing to calm down and see more rationally now... I dont think my mother would appreciate my company in suicidal maniac mode.

I confess that I have a crush on Jenna Fischer. She is cute, sweet, and nice. At least from all of the interviews I have seen with her.

Don't worry, gwenevyn; I have little doubt that I do enough meddling for the both of us. I'm too old to be shy anymore.

I confess, that that one time I ended up in the girls lockeroom, it was because I followed you in there, you being one of my very first adopted kindred spirits and all. But, I'll admit, it t'was a bit of fun (including the bizzare dream afterwards).

Oh, and as for meddling... I think I've happened across a few posts of yours that indicated (hinted strongly) that you've got a serious thing for someone on the Wrong Planet; probably haven't seen them all, or even most of them. I confess that if you don't just TELL HIM and try to hook up with him, that my head is going to EXPLODE. You're right; your too shy. But life is a finite thing... You only have a set number of seconds left. Can you feel them slipping away? Tick... Tick... Tick...

Tell him. What do you have to lose? Say nothing, and you will get nothing. Say something, and you may still get nothing, or find the love of your life.

Ha! How's that for some first-class grade-A meddlin'?

I confess that I in about an hour I'm going to make a phone call. Honestly, I don't think it will connect; if it does, I'll have no idea what to say.

I confess that I hate phones. HATE them. I mean, to the point where I'm practically infamous over this.

When dealing with people, and because I lack the intuitive sense of the "hidden curriculum", I spend an inordinate amount of mental power visually observing whomever I'm talking with, and trying to gauge their reactions and responses on all of those non-literal things that humans use to communicate; tone, body language, expression, which direction someone's eyes are looking, what they're doing with their hands, etc., etc., etc. I've come to rely on being able to see someone in order to communicate with them; for each observed gesture, I try to extrapolate all possible meaning, and rank them according to probability of being correct; the better I know someone, the better I am at doing this. If I don't know somewhat at all, I use a generalized human construct for the same purposes, but it doesn't work consistently well. In any case, phones freak me out because I have no visual cues from which to analyze the posture and intent of whomever I'm talking to. And, because the sound quality on many phones is absurdly bad, I really lack even tone of voice. As a result, speaking on phones is very stressful for me; I often get confused over how I should react. Yuck, yuck, yuck.

I hope your phone call goes well, RainSong.

[And Graelwyn, that is a very abridged and simplified explanation for a much more complex set of related underlying issues that I came up with while analyzing myself during my nervous breakdown. Just an example for you. ]

Good fortune,

- Icarus the Phone-breaker

Phones scare me. I can never tell when it's my turn to speak, what to say, what the other person has said, ect. I also can't read voice tones worth a flip without a lot of observation, and invariably I have little idea how the other person feels. However, when all else fails...

Thank you.

I confess it did not go at all; my mother (who had known that I had planned this all day) abruptly decided to object with a lot of nonsense excuses ("Do you know it'll be answered?" What, am I physic?). After running through a list of objects (all of which were easily solved), she said that she didn't want to increase the phone bill. For God's sake, I'll pay for the bloody call if it means that much. By that point though I was too flustered to do it though, and she merged onto a different (and more flustering) topic. So... maybe tomorrow. Maybe. I don't know.

I confess I do not make phone calls unless I absolutely have to as I simply seem to clam up and not be able to find anything to say...like being in a blank space really. I also confess that I get very stressed out by the sound of a phone ringing repeatedly and it makes me want to throw the thing out of the window.
I also confess that I am procrastinating as I should be in bed or at least packing but all I have done is lay out a pile of clothes to take with me... :?
I also confess I just choked on my own spit or something and it was most unpleasant.

I confess that my fear of phones, and subsequent inability to answer them in a timely manner, has contributed to my downward spiral at work. I posted a question about this early on when I first joined, and quite a few people had issues as well. Phones suck!

I confess-I don't give a rats hind end what people think of my videos at veoh. I think they're funny and mine is the only opinion that matters.
Here's my newest. Due to language it's rated for 18+ I think it's funny as he__.

Meddling is, of course, a double-edged sword; you are, perhaps, right to be shy about doing so. But, I confess, I can't help but try to help people, as best I can. I'm helpful more often than not, so I keep it up.

If you are to PM me before I ever PM you... THAT would be an interesting twist of fate. I confess that I've wanted to PM you about a several random things, but I can be, uh, a bit intense, and I don't want to freak you (or anyone else) out. I confess I bite my tongue sometimes when I wish to speak. Perhaps, ironically, I really am more shy than I like to belive.

I confess, that I'm going to sit here refreshing my Inbox every 30 seconds for the rest of the night.

Good fortune,

I confess that I have been doing nothing but going on this board, for about 2 weeks! And going to my appointments with my shrink, and going to the optometrist once, and that's about it. :)

I confess that there's a set of nasty storms going through the area that are apparently spawning tornadoes left and right; as a result, the alarm keeps going off and there a ton of tornado warnings. My mother's honestly worried this time (it's not that rare, tornado warnings, but her concern is), so she's had us get all the cats in the basement along with the firesafe box. The storm hasn't hit yet, but I'm sure she'll drag us down once it does (with the dog; cats are harder to catch, so they went first).

I confess that at the moment I can see blue sky. There are a good amount of clouds (half of which are dark), but there's still sky and light.

I confess that I'm not worried about tornadoes (one ripped through the back yard a decade ago; besides knocking down a few trees, there was nothing damaged), but the way irony's been working lately, I'm sure it would knock out the power and phone lines. And I will so not be thrilled if that happens.

I confess that the only thing that would make up for that would be if we got a few days off of school, but I'm sure that won't happen. Why do these things never happen on weekdays?

Edit: Never mind. We stayed in the basement for half an hour, and the storm went south. It rained, but that was it. It's the town in the south that's dealing with tornadoes.

I confess that it does one good to clear out the old and unnecessary baggage sometimes.
