Morning!

[To be fair, it's morning here in the US. Very early morning, to be specific!]

Erm, what comes after the Response 1: Greetings (Time of Day)?

Well in the NT world they ask each other how they're doing, and then the other person always lies through their teeth saying "I'm great, thanks!"

Ah, so I was wrong again. :(

Although I must wonder, how are you doing?

(Response if followed by similar question: "Mostly fine, with no signs of necessity of sleep but some dull pain in the back of the right shoulder and right side of the neck.")

It's definitely a start to the glasnost of my life.

At any rate, the next step (after denial), if the theories about defense mechanisms are true, are:
[#] Acting out: Probably not
[#] Fantasy: Counterproductive
[#] Idealization: Overcompensation
[#] Passive aggression: Already frequent
[#] Projection: Probably not
[#] Projective identification: Probably not
[#] Somatization: NO! NO NO NO TO NOCEBO!

ADDITION:
Those were Level 2, not Step 2. I should try to do Level 4 instead:
[#] Altruism: Not helpful to denial but good idea otherwise
[#] Anticipation: Discomfort is here and now.
[#] Humor: Could work better if I had a good sense of humor
[#] Identification: It wouldn't be unconscious anymore
[#] Introjection: ASD's shall remain neurological
[#] Sublimation: Won't help much
[#] Thought suppression: Apparent alternative to humor

I think I'll try humor, and if that fails, thought suppression.
