I wonder what it's like to be a kid and be endlessly entertained by the sounds one can make with one's mouth. This is something I've long forgotten, and the experience hasn't returned even while my daughter sits and makes strange sounds as she puts a puzzle together.

By "kid", I don't know if you meant a child, a teenager, or both, but I can still be endlessly entertained by the sounds I can make with my mouth... Like, I can sit making the same sound for twenty minutes and be like 8O

Well, my daughter is 5 so that's the age range I was thinking.

Life can be so joyous, but only if you accept the pain. The darkness creeps in so often, though, that sometimes you feel there is no end to it. It ends, always. Patience and perseverance are companions one mustn't ignore.

I'd feel put on the spot if my mum was to ask me if I was Gay. I'd have to tell the truth and she wouldn't like the truth very much.

I think I should invest some time in exercise this year. Although I know a little about the weaknesses of humans, I need something to actually apply that knowledge. I wonder if I should focus on:

* Strength, or how much force I can exert
* Speed, or how fast I can move
* Agility, or how well I can move
* Power, or how much energy I can manage in a given amount of time
* Dexterity, or fine manipulation
* Pain resistance, or how much I can ignore the pesky neurons
* Endurance, or how long I can keep the fatigue signal low
* Nothing, or just exercise by my stereotypes of exercise

Strength will probably be a non-viable option because it would be hopeless. Speed will probably do little for cases where self-defense is required. Agility could be more useful because it seems that most adolescents exercise only for physical appearance (similar to brutish strength). Power could also be useful because for reasons similar to those for agility. Dexterity and an improvement in hand-eye coordination will definitely help when attempting to use pressure points. Pain resistance assumes that there is pain to resist, which would not happen if I was agile enough. Endurance would be good for outlasting attackers or running away. Having no focus seems to be a waste of time (and just wrong to my mind).
