there was just an advert on tv for little stickers you wear on your eyes to make you look younger. tv at night is weird

How should I inter my well-loved pet rodent? I want something that has the potential to outlast me, so biodegradables are out of the question.

Styrofoam strikes me as being a relatively economical choice with an extremely long decomposition time assuming no one engineers anything to digest it. Perhaps, a disinfectant-coated styrofoam sarcophagus filled with sodium carbonate wrapped in desiccant-filled aluminum inside a benign but long-lasting plastic container will work. On top of that, I'll probably place some water-loving vegetation that produces preservative agents, so sphagnum moss might do the trick. If I can compost enough and apply lots of water, I might even get a miniature peat bog filled with tannins.

I really want to mummify the pet as well, but I'm well aware of the dissection and viewing of blood required and probably won't do this.
