Asperger's and autism, as it turns out, are caused by a doubling of the DNA code for the human brain. Not only does this lead to a "second wind" when we reach age 50 as far as intellectual capacity goes, but it also means that these dominant double-genes will soon permeate the entire gene pool and the whole human race will have it. Regarding the present situation, the evolution of this gene sequence is still underway, hence the glitches that we who have it now are experiencing.
