my daughter and former husband are going to a ComicCon in Calgary. it is very crazy, but full of aspies.
Full of aspies? That's not surprising, but it is encouraging. Maybe it might not be as bad as I'm worrying it will be. After all, I did go to Disneyland once without having a meltdown, and that was even before I was on medication! Maybe I underestimate myself too much.
they said they are going to play "spot the NTs" because it's more of a challenge than spotting aspies.

Wow, I've never been to a place where the NTs were the minority! I'd like it if I could be myself and blend in at the same time. Are your daughter and former husband going to go in costume?

I think my dad wants to dress up as a character from either The Nightmare Before Christmas or Edward Scissorhands. I haven't decided on who I'm going as. My first choice would be the Tim Burton version of the Mad Hatter, but I'm also considering another Johnny Depp character, Barnabas Collins, if Dark Shadows turns out to be all that I'm hyping it up to be within my mind. Another idea I had was to go as one of the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic characters. I'm thinking someone besides the main characters, but who is still popular, like Spitfire or Trixie.
