Feel sorry for me and my own stupidity and greed.

My favorite ammunition is the Remington Yellow Jacket for the .22 Long Rifle cartridge. It's a nifty little 33 grain truncated cone hollow point at a rather high velocity [for a .22LR] of 1500 feet per second that is designed for hunting small game. I like them so much due to the history I have with them, plus they make a really cool supersonic crack due to moving faster than the speed of sound (said crack still isn't enough to damage your ears outdoors, so you don't need protection; you can hear it in its entirety). The target effect on water bottles was always awesome (blown up bottles due to the projectile violently expanding).

When I was younger, my father would often buy me a box of fifty every couple of months or so (he'd always pick up plinking and target practice ammunition for the .22LR weekly on the way home from work; he was of the, anything that's supersonic is too loud for the neighbors, even in the rural mountains). Fun times (I have to do all of the picking up for myself now. I tend to buy CCI Stingers, which are a little lighter but a little faster, but they're cheaper as they come in boxes of 50 compared to the 100 of the current Yellow Jackets).

Sure, I have guns and ammunition that can take down an elephant easily enough, but I love the small stuff far more.

I was so busy worrying about the trailer (or lack thereof) for Dark Shadows that I completely forgot to celebrate the 2nd year anniversary of Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland on March 5th. Which was nearly a week ago. I was only reminded of it because the movie aired for the first time on TV last night. Either I'm very absent-minded, or I'm a bad Alice fan, or some combination of both.

I've walked all through Army & Navy just to buy a package of lime Jell-O.

I just bought a piece of plesiosaur femur from Ebay!
