Chord progressions, tension/resolution, and cadences are particularly interesting.
If you're looking for something more difficult to compose, try composing a fugue after looking at some of Bach's fugues from WTC.

I should forge (not cast) the components for a small clavier and then proceed with learning music (and internalizing it as a language, as is proper)!

Why not? There is a conlang based entirely on tones....

Then it will be an easy transition from the non-linguistic thought process.

Realistically, I will probably forget a fair amount if the information does not get processed correctly.

Music is more of an emotional type of language. It mainly plays on our unconscious assumptions and connotations as opposed to concrete logic.

SOURCE: I've played the piano since I was 5, and learned a bit of music theory in fifth grade.

In that case, I will have to find an analogous pattern. There must be something learned and compiled somewhere up there, and if I recall correctly, was learned within the last five years.

Unconscious assumptions: appears to be right-brained: linked to left hand interest: may have occurred at least three years ago
Connotations: fuzzier logic than normal: understood in greater detail now: probably during summer projects: emotion: probably while reading book: learning of social psychology: title lost

It's like reading poetry in AP English Literature and analyzing the connotation of sounds.

IKEA's flippin' great! The food is great, and soooo cheap!! and I got a nice fluffy blue rug from there. Looks like I've skinned the Cookie Monster.

And yesterday me and MONKEY met some lovely white horses and fed them grass and mints and they sucked my hands (bit them too) and they were gorgeous - also reminded me of Parasaurolophi.

The museum trip the day before was blissful too, it was awesome meeting Tomasu and TenPencePiece, and Percy the Plesiosaur!

I love IKEA! I remember when I was little that I used to get frozen yogurt there for only $1. And that was back in Canada when Canadian dollars are worth less than American dollars!
