Figuratively as in with performance at something or literally as in severe problems, if it is fine describing it?

Now, my favorite plinking ammunition for a .22LR rifle, the type where noise is a concern in regards to bothering the neighbors (always smart to be courteous and cordial).

I've fired a lot over my time, some brands I bought, though most brands my father used to bring home; various subsonic shorts and "Z Long" rounds (.22), Winchester being the most common brand, with the boxes just changing over time. They, the subsonic shorts, fired a 29 grain lead round nose bullet at a little over 1000 feet per second. Quite quiet, and from a rifle, the impact of the bullet was as loud as the report of the rifle. I also had the occasional "Z Long" on hand (come to think of it, I recall seeing just as many of those yellow boxes as the white ones from the shorts), which was a 29 grain lead solid (round nose) projectile moving at 770 feet per second. Whilst the numbers point to it being quieter (velocity being a key factor due to the powder charge), I really couldn't tell much difference between it and the shorts. Both were quiet enough to hear the impact over the report. These two types are what my father brought home the most, but he also brought home the occasional LR Match round, which was a 40 grain lead solid moving at around 1000 FPS. They were louder, of course (heavier bullet at the same speed = more energy required), but still, from a rifle it really wasn't any louder than hitting a piece of roofing iron with a hammer, hard. Which goes on to my favorite, which I buy now in bulk; the CCI Standard Velocity (subsonic) brand, which has the same stats as the LR Match round above, but at a much cheaper price. It shoots straight enough to hit a can at 100 meters 100% of the time if the shooter does her part, and it's quiet enough that you can't tell it's a gunshot from a distance.

All the ones I've listed [and shot] have been more than accurate enough to hit a can at 100 meters (the effective range of a .22LR rifle).

That seems quite normal amongst other things for quite a few people. I tend to ignore it because its more attention getting than anything in most cases. (that I've been exposed to atleast). My buddy's son tried to pull this kind of stuff on me so I'd buy him cigarettes - I told him to get bent. He said they'd keep him from drinking and things/being self destructive, lol...

They called the crisis line on him, which was good - because they handled all issues rather than the parents.

We cleaned out his apartment today (well, not completely). We had to run in and out due to the smell involved in the apartment. I'll spare you the details, but I've never smelled anything so awful in my entire life.
