Provided you are not poverty-stricken, and don't actually kill anyone, even mad can be seen as "eccentric", though it does help if you have a stately home and estate.

Aspieness did tie in to a degree with a formal, stiff-upper-lip Englishness, but this has been evaporating since the 1950's
Possibly a half-mad Victorian scientist, rarely leaving his laboratory and with social contact largely confined to occasional exchanges with his wife/housekeeper might represent the pinnacle of Aspie acceptance in the UK.
Isaac Newton, antisocial, obsessed with alchemy, freaked out on mercury, and possibly Britain's greatest scientist... Yes, there's room to be odd in the UK, if you're good at it.
