Yeah, this happens to me too! NT's are supposed to have such great social skills, yet they can't even comment on something like that, when it seems rude to pretend there's nothing different. I dyed my hair a bright red once; quite a change from my usual blonde color. When I walked into a birthday party, not a single person said a word. And, these were family members!
Also, I've been forced to socialize with a group of other moms for the past year. They all know who my kids are. When they saw me with my cute little baby nieces, they didn't even have the courtesy to ask who they were, or even acknowledge that anything was different! What the heck! I would have said something to them. Isn't that being social???
Back to the point of the thread: I guess it just proves that they're only interested in making the effort for people who count.
