Haha!!
I'm surprised with all the monkey-dislike here. But giving it a bit more thought, yeah, I guess they are pretty weird.
Not as weird as humans though. Of all the animals, we top the weird-scale.

Yer well monkeys behave very human-like because they are the closest animal to humans. So, to me, they don't feel like animals, but not like humans either. I just see them as freaks.

I like most animals, but flying sharks are getting out of control. Killed thirty-eight residents of Buffalo Grove and destroyed seven police drones.

I've seen quite a few of them and in my experience were only aggressive if they got startled. There were some that came by my moms house I was living at, at the time on a semi-regular basis. I did have one hiss and growl at me, but I was outside smoking a cigarette and it was around the corner from where I was so I walked around that way kind of fast and probably startled it but I just backed off and went to the other door. But I also saw one lounging on a lawn chair out back, one playing with an old dog toy that must have been left in the yard from one of the previous owners, and also there was one time there were two raccoons in the back yard and a couple of the cats where also out there and they seemed to co-exist pretty well. Its like they didn't even notice each other aside from the youngest cat chasing one of their tails for a bit before she got bored. Then of course there was one that came up to the glass door in the back and looked in at me, put its little possum like hand up on the glass and seemed to be wanting me to let it in..I didn't but it was a very cute attempt for sure.

in my experience coons are nasty. they tore up the underside of my tin can, can't afford to fix the damage so I freeze here as I type this [they tore out all the sub-floor insulation for their nesting material, presumably]. I went outside my own tin can and they tried to chase me off until I got them between the eyes with ammonia spray. blighters.

humans, single handily the most destructive species to the environment at least so far, but it could change, just depends on well the same humans who are the problem...and it's me too I am not innocent, I throw away plastic waste that may not end up being recycled and could end up in land-fills/the ocean. I can't always afford to get grass raised beef and such so I bet a lot of meat I get still comes from factory farms and such, I throw away paper waste because I haven't found a place to recycle that and the plastic yet. Also I am sure I littered plenty of cigarette butts, anymore I always pick them up and throw them away...but certainly have littered them in the past. Not sure I have cut up every plastic can holder device I've gotten on cans.

They are destructive, strong, and relentless. How did you keep them out of your trash? I now have big, tall, heavy cans that are simply to much for them to tip over.

I seriously considered a gun for them and the skunks. Problems though are that I am a terrible shot, and I wasn't sure if it could be considered hunting out of season (Mississippi has some pretty strict laws about this). Although thinking back I doubt those laws apply to vermin varmits. I tend to overanalyze.

they are surprisingly hard to kill, a state game agent told me that.

I know all about how maggots can actually help heal infected wounds and gangrene by feasting on dead tissue without harming what's still living , but that doesn't make them any less incredibly vile and nauseating. :eew:
