It's sort of a curse in a way though. :x

Hi,

I've seen it happen too often. Foreigners coming here, to Holland, thinking, yeah, marijuana and hookers on wooden shoes but....

....Then they get hit by a wing of a windmill by smoking to much of the sheit. And forget about the paid ladies and go vomiting in an alley or something.

Nice stereotyped thread this is becoming, I like it. I did it myself with those silly goose rednecks and with this notes above as well.

Three cheers for the black and white viewers, mea incluis.

Yeah you`re right, that is true, people look at it
a little wrong because of the reputation its gotten
over the years - probably annoying to live there
and see tourists screw up left and right and misbehave
and hear all the talk about it. Please forgive my "smart"
Holland remarks, being a foreigner with some rather
odd experiences there it gets that way easily, and it
doesn`t help that everyone i know that has been there
came back with some weird storys. Being in Norway,
Holland is seen as a partyplace by many, or was when i
was growing up

We don't have rednecks in Europe, but we do have Rednex:

I bet there's no rednecs, chavos and other scumbags in places like Monaco, Luxembourg or Switzerland (btw that IS in Europe ;p). they're too rich for that I reckon...

Country music is very popular in some parts of Switzerland (mostly in the mountains).

At least 1/4 of the population in the States and Canada is comprised of rednecks, but I wonder, are there rednecks in Europe? I can't picture there being any of them really.

For example, it wouldn't seem right to see someone in Germany, Finland, France, Spain, etc. to say "howdy partner" and drive around in a beaten up old truck while smiling with big buck teeth. You picture it in Alabama, Texas or Kentucky but not in Europe.

I just somehow can't picture people who look like this as living in Europe:

If there aren't any rednecks, why? Why would there be rednecks here and none there?

Yes there certainly ARE Rednecks in Europe. Most of them can be found in Serbia and Greece.

Germany has plenty of Rednecks, some of them are pretty cool. Sweden has them too, though in Sweden, they're called Raggare.
