I looked for a fun picture that I had seen a while back to illustrate this, but I can't find it any more. So y'all will just have to deal with the words instead.

Pot, meet kettle.

I used to lurk in the old days. They were something else.

I haven't been around long enough to see some of the members listed here, but I do miss a few members myself. I miss Nico, ebec11, Alaspi. Silver Proteus, we were just starting to become friends when she left. And I miss CityAsylum's posts. She's still around but she doesn't post very much anymore. Her posts were often hilarious.

Which proves my point.

Forums are a conglomerate of stupidity that I've never witnessed in person before. It's narcissistic drivel where many people think everything that is said applies to them, and with presumptions that are egocentric. O, I have no delusions that it'd be any different out there in person if people weren't so afraid to say what they think, which is mediated by social status and safety of self when there's a physical form applied. It doesn't, and hasn't changed.

Humanity is stupid, and it always has been.

I do the same thing; I think people end up misunderstanding a lot. Many times, it seems as if people get irrational instead of asking for clarification or asking themselves, is it really worth getting upset over? Or maybe it all is intentional and I'm too idealistic to see it.

In any case though, I felt the pot/kettle was justified this time though, as immediately following a comment that implied one should be nice, the commenter was not nice.

Of course, Werbert must also return for things to work.

Yeah. Tinky is abck, and that makes things feel more "right" to me. and I still talk to anubis, as you know. He should chime in here. I remember when everyone would argue about garlic and pie and mustard...*sigh* I'm feeling really nostalgic, love.

Mustard is dead. If anyone tries to revive that most inappropriate cult, I will unleash my army of pink chocobos on them. All hail Emperor Werbert, the Archbishop of Chocolate!

LOLS!
I miss werbert. one time he sent me a very strange picture of an old man opening his trench coat, and there was a giant fake penis. he said ti was him.

what ever happened to unknown? anyone know?
unknown still posts here now and then :)

he does? hmm...haven't seen him around. :?

He changed hit username to RTSGamerFTW, if I remember correctly.

Not sure what happened to KBABZ. It's like half of a generation of posters has disappeared, and two new generations of posters have come here since I joined WP nearly 2 years ago.

I haven't really kept up with KBABZ. He's hardly ever on IM either, and when he is i'm just signing off.

I don't think anything about myself other than knowing I'm a deeply flawed fellow made by other flawed individuals, nor do I know people well other than knowing that most are stupid. If you see words of the past, from people of different names; they're the same words spoken by the same people, where most are stupid. I've yet to see evidence to the contrary that paints humanity in a different light.

It's impossible to determine the reason for being here, whether someone knows humanity or not, unless they give the reason themselves. Actually, I'm talking up at all of the stupid people as they're above me; people are stupid when they're in groups, but they have some redeeming features when they're by themselves--it's easy to see. In fact, I'm speaking out against the communities as a whole (on the 'net and out), where people think that others care for their masked pseudonym and will be there for them, all whilst most speak and behave in a stupid way when they're around one another.

O, I'm stupid, this I know, but the people I call stupid rarely think that they are.

I'm stupid but I'm the only person I have the right to call stupid or insult in any other way, the same goes for everyone else. In other words, the only person anyone has the right to insult is their self.

Funny how threads go way off topic.......

So, no one has the "right" to call others stupid, even if they are actually stupid (it's beside the point that I didn't actually call anyone stupid, other than "people"/humanity)? "Right" is a misnomer, as people can define "right" in any way they so wish. Why is it that you're condescending in your rolling of eyes? You do know that that's actually insulting?

It's not off-topic, as back in the ol' days, especially around the time many people spoke of in this thread, this forum wasn't any better in my subjective opinion; it was rampant with stupidity and immaturity on a grand scale. But, this is of course my subjective opinion.

""it was rampant with stupidity and immaturity on a grand scale""

still is i see.. but i dont know how it was in the good ol`days,
couldn`t be worse then this anyway, just my subjective opinion.
Stupid is who stupid does.

"""Forums are a conglomerate of stupidity that I've never witnessed in person before. It's narcissistic drivel where many people think everything that is said applies to them, and with presumptions that are egocentric""""

Well...that might be. But your`re here, so you`re a part
of it yourself if it is so  - Talking trash about what
you`re right in the middle of yourself is...well, its just not
smart. Sorry to have to break that news to you. I see you
insist that most people are stupid. But you see, just because
you for example have a broken leg doesn`t mean everybody
else has a broken leg, get it? Stones and glasshouses, its
a tricky thing. I`ve said things like "most people are stupid"
myself, but its just crap. Might make the one saying it feel a
little better about themselves for a while, thats pretty much
all it is.

You don't know what I'm talking about, nor am I talking trash. Your post is actually another good example of what I'm speaking of; people assume things that are said are directed to them, and they assume that what's said is actually the worst scenario possible. All it is is presumptions.

All humans are quite smart too.
