A few years ago, my father made me cycle on a bike - which didn't work properly and had to have considerably more pedalling to make it work, and even then it went slowly - for 20km. I got off the bike and threw it on the floor at one point. 
My father stared at me and then when my brother asked if I was upset he just said "No, she's just tired. Let's go."
(He also insisted I cycle up and then back down a mountain on a bike with no gears when I was seven, but that's another story. 
)
I like cycling downhill, though. 
My tires are flat at present, though.
