The universe. It's just so... interesting. There's so much stuff in it, so much that my pathetic little human mind will never understand entirely.

I always seem to either talk too much or too little, at all the wrong times.

The inverse correlation between the power a government has and the welfare of its people.

Do I just suck at communicating effectively and being assertive and not letting my emotions get to me?

“Big Brother is Watching You.”
― George Orwell, 1984

(I want to read the book by George Orwell called 1984).

a very depressing read but with bits of grim mirth. the movie versions were totally humorless.

Where I'm at, in the Midwest of the United States, it is morning, and I woke up in the best of moods this morning after dream/thinking about all you guys and what it means to be part of the Autistic Spectrum. It was good stuff, but just like a dream, now I cannot remember it. I wish there was a way I could transcribe my dreams while I'm in that state between wake and sleep. This is the wrong thread for that. Still, I woke up in a very positive mood, and I genuinely hope everyone can have a good day.

One thing I do remember is thinking about the challenges we all face everyday, both people on the Autistic Spectrum and the Neurotypicals, and how truly extraordinary everyone of you are. Even if this part of your life seems like a living hell, and I emphasis so much that it hurts, I know there is something about you that makes you an extraordinary person. I think there is a thread called Post Something Extraordinary About Yourself. I think that is really hard to do because the only way we know we are extraordinary is by realizing that something we may find very trivial about ourselves, is something that someone else simply cannot do or has trouble doing. It is also difficult for some, like me, to put it into a set of concise words that make sense. I know there are people that can do this and when I see it/read it, I really do think it is extraordinary. Just like there are challenges we face everyday, neurotypical people face the same types a challenges. Not all of them realize it, and I believe that may be part of their challenge. So sometimes I can be very patient when I see a solution, and they do not yet understand why there is a problem. And one thing I realized from events that took place yesterday, just because I see a solution, does not mean I have a complete answer. I realized sometimes, I have to see actual examples before I realize there is a hole in the solution, but as soon as I see the hole, I very often have another solution. For the people that still don't understand the mechanics of why the problem is occurring, adding this new revelation to the mix sends their brains into a confusion. It's not unlike our sensory overload. Normally I would persist on trying to help them understand what is happening and why what I'm suggesting will fix the problem. Yesterday, I took an entirely new path. I stepped back, and said "ok. We need to let events play out, and they need to see the out come of our little interface test. They need to take this in baby steps. When they see that what I've predicted has come true, they will hopefully be better able to understand why what I'm not suggesting we do will work. The thing is we have a lot of options depend on how we approach it, and they can only seem to handle one option at a time. Again, doesn't that sound a lot like our situational/sensory overload? Yet, I know these people are not stupid or impaired. Each one is also extraordinary. It is a bit frustrating that each of us cannot always see that, and there is always that person that is just an a-hole to you and everyone else, but I realize it's complicated.

Lastly, and maybe I don't need to say this, even though I seem to be showing all this compassion and empathy towards people, you might think how can person not be someone that can walk into a room and chat up and embrace everyone there. How is it I'm not an extrovert? I don't know. I just can't do it. There is such a huge difference between what's in my head and what manifests itself in the physical world. I don't believe I could say that anywhere else, on any other forum, and have people understand what I'm talking about. But here I can, and I'm am so grateful that you are here, because you and this forum is why I woke up so chirpy and positive today. I think my emotions are slipping into hyperbole.

And I hope this is not a page full of word mush, not emotional, but scrambled word mush. Language is not my friend.

OMG
I was on my way to get some breakfast, and I was thinking how my previous post ^above^ was maybe a bit over the emotional top. Yeah, I thought, I'm definitely on a mood swing today. Then it hit me. Endorphins. I wonder if while I'm having these thinking dreams if endorphins are being released because I'm "figuring things out." So I come to work all drunk on endorphins and go into a drunken "I love you man. You're beautiful." rant.
OMG
It really is mental masturbation. This is such a realization for me! "Oh, yeah. Keep it coming baby, I mean brain." (was that inappropriate? believe me, I could have really gone overboard)

I still believe everything I said. My inhibitions were just down.
OMG.
This is a morning after post! I've got to get back to work. We'll keep in touch.

(Seriously, if the word masturbation is inappropriate, please PM me and I'll remove it.)

This weather really is too much. Thunderstorms coupled with high winds frighten the dog and we lose our electricity.

Going into denial about something because you aren't allowed to question it or properly respond isn't the world's best methodology.
