how does it sound like avoidance?

i should probably try to put itself in positions where i'm the one approached first, because that's how ive met literally everyone in my life and it's the only way i have experience.


i have never ever approached anyone first unless it was for a job

this bit "making excuses or obstacles for myself that prevent me from getting what i want and picking apart suggestions or trying to convince myself that my situation is unchangeable. " sounds like self sabotage / avoidance imo.

That's what I mean by luck , if we are talking woman 99% of them made the approach with me or it was a set up by friends , with blokes it's just the right place at the right time with the right person , I have only had about 2 male friends who I have clicked with and I met them at associate's ( fair weather friends ) houses

I guess that's something a lot of us love about technology; it lets you build a bunch of defined skills & name (or not name) programs.

My brother has just said to pick him up and he will help me go to the office and explain everything

Part of it is Care Coordinator’s fault too as she did not reply to my email till it was too late- said my mail was in her junk mail folder

Legit my brother, who himself has severe OCD and probably autism too (refuses to get checked as it’s $3000), is the only one in my entire family who cares to help figure things out or look after kids

Everyone else doesnt help no matter how mucb i ask ‘i just need someone to sit down with me n help me figure out how to vbudget and manage and fill out forms’

My mom is the most ‘everyone can do that, stupid! ‘ person and always has been.
If it werent for her, as my lawyer had said, I wdnt be in this (meaning forced arranged marriage, divorce) situation at all -
In fact even when i was suffering in marriage she wd scream at me tht ‘its your fault etc’

my dad relegates it to my sister who never helps, no matter how much I ask- just chastises, despite getting a masters in Occupational therapy which includes training in autism
She understands the struggles intellectually if it is in a book (eg executive functioning) but doesnt help or understand beyond that.

Legit the only person who himself has nothing but struggles n mental setbacks (his OCD is classified as a disability to the point he cannot walk a few steps without being forced to stop due to the OCD )

is the only one who cares to help

nothing like our own problems to expand our empathy.
