I've been mentally struggling with two issues lately.
The first issue: since my main characters are celestial, godlike beings, by default they can't change unless they incarnate, and that would get complicated really quickly in keeping track of all the incarnations [which I encountered while writing my first series, actually].
The second issue: without conflict of some kind, there's no story. But since hypothetically the OmniCosmos is an enlightened omniverse aside from a few places or beings, hypothetically the only way to have actual conflict is, again, have the characters incarnate to lower density places and forget their divinity.
Sure, one of the main characters forgets their divinity without incarnating, but that's through a series of events that pushes them over the edge from certain traumas.
To quote Mythcreants: "Nothing looks more contrived than when a writer keeps insisting their world is one way, but they’ve clearly created something else. " I've encountered this way too often.
Does any of this make sense/do I need to provide more information?
