Name a Beatles song ... What's the first one you think of?

That's hard for me to answer because I was just thinking of The Beatles, but probably "Glass Onion" because I played it about 100 times in my car during the last week. As a stereotype I might say "Twist and Shout".

Have you ever done photo developing in a dark room?

Nope.

I like Ringo. He had the "worst odds"---he was a sickly child--but he turned out to be the best "preserved" and the least cynical.

How come Isabella likes George so much?

Because he's George! I first loved While My Guitar Gently Weeps , but soon fell for his solo material especially the album All Things Must Pass. Sitar gives me frisson and his spiritual lyrics are the most profound of all The Beatles, imo.

What is your favourite Beatles song, korts?

Ringo----because he's the most "grounded."

And because he overcame many illnesses as a child.

And also because he's only 2 inches taller than me LOL


George is to be admired because he wasn't a natural at the guitar. But, through assiduous practice, he became quite proficient.

Did you ever wish for a Beatles reunion?

Sorry I realise you had already named Ringo as your favourite.

Of course I wished for a reunion! I was too young to remember them united in my lifetime, but I remember John's murder. It was a turning point for me, like a coming-of age thing. I'm sure I've shared the story so I won't bore you again.

My nephew saw Sean Lennon play, and the videos of Dhani Harrison on guitar are astounding.
He looks so much like his dad!

What do you know of illuminated manuscripts?

You can see them in the dark? (Sorry. My humour. Brain not working to think what they are... Anything to do with the Gospels? Can't remember).

Have you been abroad?

I know they were compiled in a painstaking manner by monks in monasteries during the early-to-mid Medieval period. They were usually copied from previous texts. There were secular and religious texts amongst the Illuminated Manuscripts. Most of these texts were originally in Latin or Greek. At time, the monks translated these works; other times, they kept the Greek/Latin. I believe the "golden age" of them was about the 13th-14th centuries.

By the late Medieval period, especially after Gutenberg and the Printing Press, they became relics of a previous time---though still esteemed greatly.

They had lots of "flourishes"----especially when it came to the initial letter of a chapter. And the pages were decorated in an elaborate manner.

Milkshakes. Banana splits contain nuts, usually. I'm craving a banana milkshake at this moment! LOL
