Are you more of a hoarder or a minimalist?

Definitely a minimalist.

If my bed has ANYTHING on it but a blanket (and sometimes the blanket goes to the floor, too), it goes somewhere else (the floor, initially, then some other place).

Have you ever read Solzhenitsyn?

Definitely a minimalist. I do have collections of things I love (books, music), but I like to say "there isn't a spare paperclip in my house, if I don't want it". I love to get rid of things via recycling or donation. It's a sense of "I'll just put this problem in a bag and make it disappear forever!" I wish it was so easy with real life problems.

I'm going to clean out a closet today, and get rid of a few more things.

No, I haven't read Solzhenitsyn.

Do you like to sing along with songs you know?

Yes I have. A couple of his works---but, especially, "A Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich." It made a great impression on me. Similar to how Dostoyevsky's "Notes from Underground" made an impression. And "Darkness at Noon" by Arthur Koestler.

We people of the present generation are effete when compared with those who have been through the battles the folks in these books have been through.

I like "singing along" better than I used to. And that's not saying much. I disliked "singing along" as a child.

I only sing along mockingly to songs I don't like or consider cheesy.

Yes!

Unless it's the History Plays, I don't believe the "order" matters.

I guess.....if I wanted to discern his evolutionary progress....then I would attach more importance to it.

I've liked "apple tobacco" in the past.

I take them off when I arrive in my (small) vestibule.

Do you wear slippers in the house, or go barefoot?

Barefoot, almost exclusively. My feet are very sensory-seeking (stimmy) so I don't like to cover them. If I'm cold I use a blanket rather than slippers, but I do have slippers if really necessary.

How often do you wash your kitchen floor?

Probably not often enough to my wife's satisfaction

I bet Sweet Isabella is quite diligent at this


Do you like to go "down by the lazy river"?

I'm laughing at the thought of me "barefoot in the kitchen". That wasn't quite my intention - lol. My kitchen floor is flagstone so it's very easy to sweep without cleansers. I do have a polishing product that helps clean problem spots.

What is your favourite household chore?

Dusting.
