Yes, lots of snails, on the pavements and in my back garden. I have to be very careful not to step on them, and get really churned up if I do.

Do you have any trees in your garden, if so what sorts?

Birch and Ash, with a few smaller coniferous types. I had a crab apple tree but had to remove it last year because it attracted bees, and kept the ground mucky.

same question

I was having a dead Leylandii tree in my back garden removed by a tree surgeon a few weeks ago, and he informed me that the two plants that had sprouted up nearby were an ash tree and a sycamore. I was astonished, as I thought they were weeds of some sort, possibly even Japanese Knotweed. They don't really look like trees at all, but they've only been there a couple of years, having apparently 'self-seeded'.

Do you have dry summers in your part of the world?

In my garden? In my yard I have a few apple trees, lilacs, an overgrown Rosa Rugosa bush that has the nicest rose blooms all summer (tasty petals too), VERY tall spruce trees, aspen and birch with some maple.

What kind of organ meats have you had?

I've never heard of such a place, but it sounds interesting. The closest I guess I've come is going to a restored movie theater which had a Wurlitzer and a person playing it during silent movies.

When do you plan on going to bed?

Within the next half hour. It's 5.26 am here, by the way.

Have you ever owned a gold coin?

closest i've ever come to owning gold anything was to see a superior officer's rank insignia which was plated with actual gold so it wouldn't tarnish.
if you could join the military, would you?

No, I can get all the associated thrills by playing Call Of Duty or Medal Of Honor on my PC.

Have you ever been heavily in debt?

No I have not. Although I did go through a period where I would unintentionally bounce checks in college because I had not yet learned how to balance a check book.

Yes and no. I've never owed large sums to a bank or other financial institution, but I did borrow £20,000 from a family member in the late 1980s to buy my first house. I paid it back within 6 years, and have never incurred any significant debt since.

Would you find it easy to live without the internet?

My life would be radically different if I lived without the internet, but I lived without the internet most of my life so I would adapt and in some respects I would be better off and a better quality of life without it. I'd actually find it harder though to give up the cell phone. Not because I use it a lot or text on it much at all, but it's a security thing for me. I feel safe having a phone with me when I'm out so I can call someone if I need to.
