I worked in a factory making eye glass lenses for one summer. I barely remember it at all, other than it was tedious. I have great respect for people who work on their feet all day doing repetitive tasks.

same question

I've never done a day's work in my life, save for the part time work I currently do in a bookstore, which I love.

What would your ideal job be? I'd give ANYTHING to be a stockbroker in The City or on Wall Street.

Principal Curator and Collections Manager at the Brontë Parsonage Museum, while it's closed to the public. :P

Honestly. I would do it for free.

Do you daydream about performing the music you hear?

I almost forgot about that sort of thing. Yes, I'd love to be director of the National Gallery on Trafalgar Square (like my hero, Kenneth Clark), or the Louvre.

I fantasize about conducting the music I listen to. Not that I need to; I do it anyway.

Are you a fan of Father Brown?

Not a bad show.

Do you watch many American sitcoms in Europe?

I was taking about the original books, by GK Chesterton. I've never seen the TV series.

I used to watch The Big Bang Theory, when it was still a serious show about the geeky, hyper-intelligent counterculture. I stopped watching when it became Friends 2.0, in around 2013.

Do you prefer Kojak or Columbo?

I've never seen them. Nor have I seen The Big Bang Theory.

I've seen Friends, though!

Columbo, though only just.

What's your favourite place to visit in London?
I've just spent a fortune on tickets for later this week - something to cheer me up :D

I prefer Columbo because he’s sort of a social misfit—yet always solves the case.

Probably even more clever than Monk in some ways.

Ever seen MASH?

Mom and dad would watch both Kojak, and Columbo, religiously.

I liked them both. Columbo was easier for an aspie to identify with: a raincoat wearing slob who asked questions like Candide. But Columbo was more gritty and realistic. Hard to say.

Same question.

But Kojak is super flash - "and like that, baby!"

I did like the Socratic way Columbo had about him though. He was a heck of a lot more amusing. He takes it on balance.

What's your favourite skirt length?

Kojak was too cool for me. All the kids thought he was cool.

Columbo is underrated.

Do you feel Doc from “Back to the Future” represents Spectrum people well?

I won't answer the question until you answer my question about women's clothing which is, after all, one of my special interests

Seriously though - Kojak was a cool dude, but at least he was also a decent role model for kids. Better than anyone we have on TV today.

I repeat my skirt question.

My best male friend is obsessed with MASH like a special interest. He has the box set and watches it hundreds of times a year. I usually zone out if I'm there. A couple of the episodes are quite touching, though.

Is Doc autistic? I didn't realise. I haven't seen BTTF in years.

Skirt 4.

Doc is sort of an odd, eccentric type of fellow who’s been scorned most of his life.

Skirts don’t matter that much to me. But no micro-minis.

What’s your favorite Star Trek?

No-one answered my London question, either. I'm going to start a thread in the Haven about how nobody ever responds to my posts, now. :jester:

Numbering the skirts 1-4 and 5-8 horizontally, I'd say 7, 3, 4, 5, and 6 - in that order. The others are passable.

I hate M*A*S*H, or whatever it is.

Never seen the Doc thing.

I like Star Trek TNG.

Are you a fan of Jim Cagney?
