This statement made me lol! I'm just surprised I don't get that more often.
Basically, something that is stolen is referred to as "hot." A stolen bicycle is a "hot" bicycle. If someone stole a lolly/ popsicle it would be called a "hot" popsicle. If a popsicle were literally hot (temperature-wise) it would melt and be a puddle of liquid on the floor.
